Adding Sai and Leo's attack on Charlos to Luffy's own punch, and their announcement of being part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, I am fairly certain that the historical event that will take place (mentioned at the end of Dressrosa) is people/kingdoms around the world will start to equate the Straw Hats with going against the Celestial Dragons and join "the cause" rocking their jolly roger as part of the (self proclaimed) grand fleet. This is what Cobra meant when he said "fly the flag that heralds the world's eventual dawn", people all over the world will unite under the Straw Hat flag.

I imagine it's a zoan counterpart to Luffy's fruit (if it's a devil fruit at all --- it could just be that Imu is that counterpart entity themself). But the actual powers are pretty much that though, some sort of meta "writing comics" to match Luffy's meta "being in a comic" power.

@Saga S Imu has to be goofy af after all they have to be the equivalent of Tom to luffy's Jerry. Hoping Imu is a woman but knowing Odas track record with female characters I doubt it especially with how looney Imu is supposed to be. We've already established 2 quirks with Imu, we are expecting some really intimidating endgame boss but to be honest Imu is probably going to be the most absurd character in the series.

Even JOYGIRL doesn't know how OBSERVATION works 😰😨😓 ... Katakuri so good in OBSERVATION HAKI but he couldn't control it because he got angry, distracted, and not calm when fighting Luffy ... Sanji so good in OBSERVATION HAKI as well but suddenly his HAKI became so bad because he was not calm when fighting QUEEN in wano ... SANJI said that QUEEN is so good to hide his presence despite his big body ... KATAKURI said that you can only use your OBSERVATION HAKI EFFECTIVELY when you're calm, cool, and FOCUS ... Even back in SKYPIEA was always like that ... I can't believe I have to say these things 😭😭😭

I feel like I'm going "This chapter was peak One Piece" like every week lol, I love all the reverie related chapters so much. Also when I saw the ink arrow thing and the way the gorosei looked I immediately thought about the monsters we saw after Thriller Bark, Im pretty sure the chapter way back then described the shadows as the sea's bizarre face, there's already been speculation that Imu is somehow connected to the sea so I think it would be cool if they were somehow related to Imu and her ability allowed her to create those things and survey the seas

I have a theory about the gorosei & Imu. I think that Imu is based on Brahma (indian God/Deva) who is above even Buddha. Brahma is the considered the lord of heavenly realm. he was the one who invited Buddha to teach in ancient india. Brahma’s statue shows him wearing a point crown similar to Imu’s head. the realm name of Brahma is called Brahmaloka. Brahmaloka is the highest of celestial worlds. Here is the interesting part, Brahmaloka consists of 20 heavens (similar to 20 kingdoms who found the world government). Now since Brahma is the one who invited Budda to teach in ancient India, i think that Oda combined this story together with story of journey to the west. i think the Gorosei are based on the Tang sanzang who is a monk that lead the journey to the west. including this monk, they are 5 in total (Zhu Bajie ( pig ), Sha Wujing, Sun wukong, Dragon Prince (in form of a horse) ). i think that these 5 together could be what Oda based the gorosei on. So we have 5 gorosei that are based on Buddha, Tang sa zang, Sha Wujing, Zhu Bajie, Dragon Prince. These 5 are in my opinion the gorosei. The reason i didn’t put Sunwukong with them is because i believe Luffy is based on Sun Wukong. Wukong was forced by the monk and buddha to go on the journey to the west. i believe this is where Sun Wukong had a falling out of some sort with the group and fought the gorosei 800 years ago. I think the gorosei were going to lose until Brahma stepped in to stop wukong. So overall my thinking is that: Brahma = Imu. Budda, Zhu Bajie, Shu Wujing, Dragon prince and Tang Sanzang = 5 Gorosei. Sun Wukong = Joyboy/ Luffy. Brahmaloka = Mariejoas/Heavenly Realm. The last part is that i think that Laughtale might be based on one of the ancient Utopia’s like the “Great Unity”. The society in Great Unity was ruled by the public, where the people elected men of virtue and ability to administer, and valued trust and amity. People did not only love their own parents and children, but others as well. People also secured the living of the elderly until their ends, let the adults be of use to the society, and helped the young grow. Those who were widowed, orphaned, childless, handicapped and diseased were all taken care of. Men took their responsibilities and women had their homes. People disliked seeing resources being wasted but did not seek to possess them; they wanted to exert their strength but did not do it for their own benefit. Therefore, selfish thoughts were dismissed, people refrained from stealing and robbery, and the outer doors remained open. These are just my thoughts on what Gorosei & Imu might be. Also, there is a possibility that SunWukong is mixed with the Future Buddha “Maitreya”. After Wukong/Joyboy lost to Imu/Brahma, he is reincarnated as Maitreya (Future Buddha). Maitreya’s return will lead to him making a kingdom named “KetuMati”. Ketumati is described as being a kingdom better than any cities of the gods. In its time, the entire region of Jambudvipa (It means Island) will not suffer from hunger or need any forms of cultivation as the world will be peaceful, but due to Ketumati's merits, all of its people will have safety, as those who inhabit it will be virtuous. Jambudvipa could be what Luffy/Joyboy/Sun Wukong/ Maitreya want to create at the end of one piece. Know if you are wondering that Oda said that One piece is a real treasure, If you guys research “Ketumati”, you will see that the city is build from gems, gold, lapis lazuli. Maybe these things could be the treasure Oda was referring to while integrating it with mixture of Indian mythology & Journey to the west. What do you all think? My opinion is just what i could think of when i saw this chapter & i hope you guys enjoyed reading what i wrote.

Sounds about right, Oda uses indian mythology alot. But I think Oda will deviate from some aspects like the gorosei is most likely parts of different mythologies rather than just from one. Considering One Piece, an island is probable, I've been thinking about the moon myself tho.

I think given the devilish theme of IM as a character of this chapter I believe two of the Elders have Biblical themed monsters the elephantine bull creature is the user of the Ushi Ushi no mi model Behemoth and the Gorosei with the bird powers has the Tori-Tori no mi model Ziz which is said to swollow the sun.

Maybe the the elder with the bird power has the Garuda fruit as it could tie into the theory that Sanji is related to the Gorosei as the garuda is the symbol of Germa 66
