The amount of times the teams help each other up, no matter what jersey they are wearing, is refreshing. Occasionally today, it will happen, but it is noticeable when it happens because it is rare. This game, nearly every play someone was helping someone up, didn't matter what color the jersey.

The Bears play calling is even worse than I remembered it. Ditka was about as imaginative as a rock.

Ditka was lucky to have had sweetness in the backfield. Walter made up for a lot of poor play calling. So did McMahon when he was healthy

While I generally agree, it was the right plan for this game. It was cold, drizzly, and windy, Fuller was playing, and it was apparent quite early the Lions offense was going nowhere on this day.

I felt sorry for Hipple. He spent just about every pass play on his back. Lion play calling awful. With a bear defense like that, plays have to move with speed.
