#80sSurvival

Sugarcane poses a problem in the 80's playthrough as there really isn't any "legit" in-game machinery that is time-period specific for our challenge - so I've done it my way. We're going to use a forage harvester to harvest the sugarcane, with a legit sugarcane trailer, and then transport it over to the sugarcane processing plant - which I intend to buy.
I've also done a bit of testing and research into our next step, which will be Coffee! Let's see how the day goes, and maybe we'll make enough money to get into that soon!

This is my take on the #80sSurvival, on a map that I've spent better part of a year customizing for just this playthrough. Let's get this started!
We're starting out with $25k in the bank, an old Ford flatbed truck and the one piece of land on the map that has a field. The rest of the map is open for development! This map is pretty amazing, with 50+ plots to develop into, a full town with plenty of sell points, a sugarcane mill, a coffee roaster... and the typical staple of South America maps - a quarry.
What we do is up to us, but first we've got to find out where our land is, time for a drive.
The only "rule" that I'm starting with is that the equipment that we use must have been created before 1990, (with one minor caveat, which we'll discuss when we get there.)

One of the best things with FS22 is the community surrounding the game, and I want to play alongside the community! Back-seating is encouraged! See me doing something in a way that could be done better? Call it out. Have an idea on which contract to do next, or what type of crop to plant next? Let me know! This series is all about interacting with the community and following the road that we wind down.
Due to the nature of streaming, and because of the somewhat slow-paced but realistic nature of FS, we will be "overriding" some of the realism that comes from the game in favor of moving things forward while streaming. Although it may be incredibly realistic to play "pallet stacking simulator" or "grain delivery simulator" or "plowing a field at 5mph"... in my humble opinion, doing some of those tasks for the entirety of a live stream may not be that entertaining to watch. To that end, the gameplay in this stream will be using mods to enhance or alter the gameplay. The mods in use will be either cross-play mods available on the in-game modhub, mods available on third party sites that are PC only, or custom mods written by yours truly.
