Your father can tell the difference between the sound of police and ambulance siren...that's a great start showing one of those abilities you only gain through attentive observation and the course of time. Marvelous!

About the Author,❤️💓💖 Rick Thompson is a former journalist and broadcaster and a lifelong birdwatcher. He worked for BBC News for 27 years, first as a reporter, presenter and producer in Birmingham, then as a senior editor with BBC TV News and the World Service. He returned to the Midlands as the BBC's Head of News, Current Affairs and Local Programmes. Later his consultancy, 'T-Media', organised dozens of training workshops and development projects for public service broadcasters in the former Communist countries of Europe. For four years Rick was a member of the Governing Council of the RSPB. He is regularly asked to moderate European conferences on the environment, biodiversity, renewable energy and climate change. He says, "I believe that exposure to nature is incredibly important for people's physical and mental well-being, and getting to know more about the natural world is fascinating. Equally, understanding the history embedded in the landscape that surrounds you is illuminating." Copied from Amazon

I just bought his book by Amazon. I'm from Brazil, I hope I get it. I visited Stratford upon Avon in 2013. I visited Shakespeare's house and I saw a little of small city. I thought is very beautiful place and I simply love William Shakespeare. I think I will like your father's book. I can't wait to start try to read, because I consider myself a English student yet. Thanks for all dear Luke and Mr. Rick, maybe one day I will have your autograph in my book. Cheers. Maria

The discussions between the father and son are particularly interesting and worth listening to because of their variety with which those living outside the UK is less familiar with. This conversation is about nature, biodiversity, history, etc. which are very relevant to the life of the people. My impression was that only we here in the South Asian island have environmental problems connected to water resources, depletion of biodiversity, loss of habitat of animals and birds etc, etc. But it's everywhere and the UK is not an exception, it seems. It's a serious situation about which governments as well as people have no sufficient concern for.

Fantastic way to teach English to non-native learners. I am an Indian and may be you are aware we use formal English in office and elsewhere. We read English books/newspapers also. What I mean is we know formal English. But we cannot express everything that is spoken in English households at home from the time they wake up till they go to bed. Please guide me on how I can speak the language at home 24 hours. Thank you. Regards,
