He worked for BBC News for 27 years, first as a reporter, presenter and producer in Birmingham, then as a senior editor with BBC TV News and the World Service. He returned to the Midlands as the BBC's Head of News, Current Affairs and Local Programmes. Later his consultancy, 'T-Media', organised dozens of training workshops and development projects for public service broadcasters in the former Communist countries of Europe. For four years Rick was a member of the Governing Council of the RSPB. He is regularly asked to moderate European conferences on the environment, biodiversity, renewable energy and climate change. I just bought his book by Amazon. I'm from Brazil, I hope I get it. I visited Stratford upon Avon in 2013. I visited Shakespeare's house and I saw a little of small city. I thought is very beautiful place and I simply love William Shakespeare. I think I will like your father's book. I can't wait to start try to read, because I consider myself a English student yet. The discussions between the father and son are particularly interesting and worth listening to because of their variety with which those living outside the UK is less familiar with. This conversation is about nature, biodiversity, history, etc. which are very relevant to the life of the people. My impression was that only we here in the South Asian island have environmental problems connected to water resources, depletion of biodiversity, loss of habitat of animals and birds etc, etc. But it's everywhere and the UK is not an exception, it seems. It's a serious situation about which governments as well as people have no sufficient concern for.

What I mean is we know formal English. But we cannot express everything that is spoken in English households at home from the time they wake up till they go to bed.
