Well its definitely an 82. Yes it does have the newer nose cone off an 89 and gound effects, but it is an 82 by vin. It also has an IROC hood which there was no IROC until 1985.

Oh wow, conversion and a full paint job to make it look all original. Respect. And yes about 85 for IROC, theres an vid on youtube about an 82 camaro IROC. I shook my head at that vid

Good job on the body update! I'm a little more a fan of the '82-'84 for their looks. However, the aero nose on the IROC cars look real pretty in their own right as well. It's funny, but I remember when all the 3rd gens on the lot got the Z28 body kit. I was like..."this is awesome"! Then after seeing all the poor quality paint peel and the groan of the "evinrude" sounding V6 cars puttin around it was like...ehh. Anyway, nice ride.. Hope you still own and enjoy it.
