I have both an 85 Pacer Imperial and a Pacer Deluxe and just love them. They are from before my Ibanez and then the following Suhr infatuations.

Nice! I still have my Kramer Striker 100st that I bought in 1984, but now has a Floyd, a Paul C neck and a OG early 80's bill Lawrence L90 all installed in 1988... it's still my favorite to play over my other 3 guitars. As always, thanks or the video and the entertainment.

Yo Steve, the clean tone that starts ~9:00 sounds like split coil or coil tap... but it's not? love that sound... all the tones here with smooth!

HEY !! What's up Dude !! WOWZAAAAH !! Spectacular Looking and Sounding video !! A whole new Amazing Visual standard at a much higher level and somehow it's all streaming to me perfectly with no pauses or glitches down here in Central Florida !! BTW I Love what you seem to naturally play when you go to a Clean Patch , just Gorgeous ! Sometimes Reminds me of Bill Frisell. I Always Enjoy and Appreciate hearing the history/back stories of the guitars, the parts, purchases and manufacturers that You (or Bobby) own or have owned in the past. Thanks for everything Pixx !! Rock On !! Sarni

Steve, does Bobby still own his EVH 5150 "Mean Streets Guitar" Guitar? I'd be interested in seeing a video of the MSG vs the Fender EVH 5150 guitar.

Any way to see what bitrate KZbin transcodes it to? I'm getting a fair few pauses at 1440 and 2160 on a 70mb connection.

Ok this video actually explains a lot about something i pick up on Thursday i got a Kramer pacer but they said they had an 81 and i said no way i could tell by the headstock shape. There was no beak or banana shap but i didn't know what year they switched to the hockey stick so i probably got a 88- 90 but still not sure the SSN was way to high but she does look more like that guitar my finish is kinda a bubblegum blue 🎉

Another great review, thank you. I own the same guitar (almost, needs to be refretted this summer). Can I ask why you changed the stock pickup for a DiMarzio super distortion?

Hey Pixx, gota question, speaking or re-wiring, i got a LTD KH503 that come with the EMG HET SET and the idiot i bought it off of didn't wire in the master tone knob, I thought these pickups are really muddy and hated them but then i realized what the problem was, question is how hard is it to wire in the tone knob?
@schembri3177 жыл бұрын
MB215 not hard just look at a diagram, you can look the up and find em easily search the type of pick ups, but tone knobs your usually putting a capacitor on the pig too. So just make sure you look up or find the right value for your setup or whatever emg recommends. That is unless you have a preference. Good luck It really isn't that hard you just need a good soldering pencil and some sand paper to scuff the pot to get the solder to stick.

I had a 79 AMC Pacer DL/coupe in High School we called the petri dish, because it was teaming with microorganisms and at least 15 types of mold spores and fungus...But it wasn't red it was kind of a greenish color or sort of a bluish brown, Yeah more of a bluish brown. Got 11 people in it for the homecoming parade in 83. lol

I feel going to the pointed headstock was a huge mistake. The banana was so unique and it was Eddie associated. I like the beak too but I was never a Jackson fan so the pointed was not my cup of tea.

It's more interesting when you play that slow methodical stuff with lots of echo reverb and trem arm, I think it's way better than distortion out the ass.
