Agreed, 100% on your comment. At my advanced age, (61), it’s nice to see less T on display and just good, solid diving/spearing. Aaron seems like a good guy to hang out with. I can still, “dive my age” when it comes to depth, but they were out there all day and brought this fish up at the end of the day. Crazy!

I my neck of the woods, I shot a 300 Pds Jew/Golliat grouper when I was 15 yrs of age, Got cut off by rocks, swam back to shore, hicked to car, drowe home, got another spear gun , reversed trail and still found the fish there 2 hours later, 2 nd shot , shaft bended and broke off, watched for a while and went back home to never see him again, None of the shots hit him in vital spot, so he probbaly shed the first shaft with detachable tip and lived on with the tip of the second shaft, Dad and others recovered old shaft tips from other big groupers some times

Nice. I have no idea what my largest was. Old man shot plenty of jewfish over 300lbs. Freediving. Did not have to dive as deep as stateside for big fish. Should send you some pics. Some people have been "taught" that they are endangered and all the rest of it, won't get into it, but in the Zone, they were taken quite regularly, and delicious too. Sometimes his 3/8 SS shafts looked like a pretzel. Could not believe the power of those fish. But we ate well.

@@KeyWestWaterman make great fish head soup, too. Always had a healthy snook, snapper population around the structures, by keeping those big’ uns controlled so to speak.
