There is no "351 based Coyote." The 4.6, 5.4, and 5.8 liter motors are all classified by Ford as "Modular Motors." They have nothing to do with the Coyote, Voodoo, or Predator motors. The maximum bore x stroke of a Coyote is 5.6 liters, however, no one does it because the block would be so weakened. 5.3 liters seems to be the limit that guys are comfortable with on a stock Coyote and even then sleeves have to be used. Ford makes a cast iron Coyote block named "Werewolf" for serious racers. It's designed to handle up to 2,000 horsepower and can be bored to 3.74 inches and stroked to 3.89 inches for a maximum displacement of 5.6 liters.

@@3pedalfox people have made 1000 whp on stock motor i wouldn't really call that the rule tho just cause some guys on the net have made 4 digit power to the tires on stock motors dont mean its the set rule that is usually serious guys really pushing the envelope and they normally have money for a built motor if things go south. I love ford and I love coyotes but I think acting like 1000 wheel is normal safe hp for any stock coyote os a little optimistic. I think 800 would he considered pretty safe with good fuel and tune on gen 2/3 coyotes but yes some have pushed 1000+ usually with turbos. Another thing all 800 whp builds aren't created equal. Meaning you can't just be like oh who needs the cubes this coyote made 850 hp all motor...this is basically a fully built race motor and is very aggressive...the powerband wouldn't exactly be street friendly whereas if you has a built 7.3 at that power level its gonna be alot more drivable and enjoyable on the street with a much better overall powerband. $ per $ LS wins. Coyote engines have MORE capabilities per liter(or cubic inch), there's no denying 4 valves can flow more than 2. Coyotes however cannot go above 350 CI (which some hotrodders might consider a flaw since there is NO replacement for displacement, yes boost is adding "displacement") whereas (honestly the best competitor is a LS7, which came out in 2006 VS 2010 for coyote) lS7s can reach 450CI. Weight between the two is close with LS7 slightly lighter, LS7 also has much lower center of gravity. Point is per pound & per dollar, LS wins. Per cubic inch Coyote all day long! Im a Chevy &Ford guy, so the better question is where's dodge, the red headed step children, 398 cubic inches SUPERCHARGED barely making 800HP 🤣🤣 love beating down hell[pussycats] with my built NA 427 LS7 AND my built NA 327 Coyote 👍

Yes Chevy can, they’ve been doing it for years with the SB2, making 850 hp on a 5.5L isn’t new

@@zackdillon8670 you’re comparing a nascar engineered engine to a engine that comes in a street car....fucking clown
@zackdillon86703 жыл бұрын
@@fastballfilms4214 and you’re acting like this “coyote” is the engine that ford built themselves. You’re a fucking clown for giving ford credit for this engine making 850 hp. There are NA LS’s making over 1100 hp but that’s not because of GM. Just like a Honda 4cyl can be built to make 500whp NA. Like you’re bragging on ford for what? Supplying a engine block? When everything else isnt OEM

I think that coyote would have 900hp if he would have revved it out. That coyote sounded really good. I'd like to hear it going down the track.

900+ . Possibly looking at 3HP per cubic inch with this motor if the rev it out to 9000 which is likely lower than where the redline will be when they race this.
