Would you ba able too upload a video of your Weber setup? If I can see how everything looks, I can try and help.

I still haven’t installed it i just got it in the mail yesterday sorry I should’ve been a little more specific you think that will fix my bad idle when i first start it up and my little misfires? I noticed when i first got the truck the stock carb was very healthy but now it’s just bad thats the reason why picked up the weber. What happens to the lines that pass water to the stock carb do they get blocked off?
@almagam2099 Жыл бұрын
@@ramirosalinas4740 yes. The Weber should fix any idle issues. It's already pre-tuned and you should not have too make any adjustments. I don't remember what all is connected too the stock throttle body anymore. It's been a few years since I swapped mine out. But I do see at least one water line. -one end is at the top, front of the intake manifold. Right where the top radiator hose connects too. It's also where the thermostat is sandwiched at. Anyhow. If you follow that line, it leads and connects too the bottom, underside of the intake manifold. That's the only line I kept. Every other vacume line is plugged off.

Awesome thanks man I appreciate the reply maybe once i get it all together I’ll make a video of it running I replaced my cap and rotor and plugs and wires but i just know that my spark plugs are already bad just because of this stock carburetor going to swap them out once I install the carb, Do you recommend iridium plugs or just platinums?
@almagam2099 Жыл бұрын
@@ramirosalinas4740 I've used both. My mistake was getting them online. You never actually know who the manufacturer is. In my case, the one's I got went bad real quick. The last batch that I got a few months back, I don't recall the brand or type. But the tip of the spark plugs is in the shape of a V. So far, they've worked out really good. But whichever type you get, get them from an auto parts store. I do most of my car shopping at O'Reilly's.

Does it pass smog with the Weser carb?

Probably not. But we don't have that in florida

I have a 86 5 speed tuned up but still not the power any of my other z motors runs good just feels really weak assuming rings gotta do compression test but did the carb seem to open engine up and have more power on bottom end like on take off quicker response?
@almagam20993 жыл бұрын
Yes! Weber carb definitely helped with power at bottom end! And while it's a noticeable difference and makes her more fun too drive, it's still not enough power! It's why I'm slowly working on installing a small block 350 onto the d21!

I know im late but can i get the part number to the weber , i have a 1987 nissan d21 z24, but im not trying to spend 400 and get the wrong one

Here's the link. A bit of info on the kit. When I got the kit "seems like it's happened to others too" it comes with the wrong type of carburetor studs. If they're threaded all the way, don't use them. You'll have too hit an auto parts store too get the right type. They should have a solid section "with no thread" somewhere, somewhat near the middle. Take the studs in the kit so you can get the right length and thread pitch. I found the right type at NAPA. www.racetep.com/nissan-720-z24-32-36-dgev.html?p=success&e=Almagam2099@yahoo.com#product_tabs_review_tabbed

@@almagam2099 thanks man appreciate it , so something like the 4 factory studs that have bo thread in the middle just thread on the ends of each side
@almagam209911 ай бұрын
@@SmilingCabin-vh8fq exactly. The factory style studs, you'll be able too torque down. The one's in the kit, won't let you torque them down. And will cause fuel too seep between spacer and carb.and at the same time, will also cause a vacuum leak.

Hey buddy where did hook up the electric choke?
@almagam20994 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the question! I keep forgetting to mentioned that part! I purposely left the electric choke disconnected! I was originally planning on using one of the connections that hooked up too the stock carburetor to power the Weber electric choke! She's run fine without it tho! I'll make a quick vid showing the part of the harness I was going to use!

Did it get rid of that Miss Fire / rattle when idle?
@almagam20994 жыл бұрын
Yes too both questions! Man, she's running smooth as a babies bottom! No hesitation, no surging! Power, Speed and torque are noticeably higher!

Sorry! I don't know what specific kit this is! I got the wheel and hub kit from a 93 d21 that I used as a donor truck!

The fuel consumption was improved? Have you measure the mpg?
@almagam20994 жыл бұрын
Been eager to find out, but haven't been able too! Gonna wait till things get back to normal before I can properly go and drive the truck and find out! And I still would like too do a little bit of fine tuning on the carb! It might not need it, but we'll see!

How do you like the 38’s? I’m currently running 32/36 , wouldn’t mind getting 38’s
@almagam20994 жыл бұрын
I like it a lot! There's such a noticeable difference in overall performance compared to the stock carb! Originally, I was going for the 32/36 as well, but couldn't find it online for my year truck! Once I get a few other items "aftermarket exhaust* for example, I'd like too get the truck properly tuned at a shop!
