Hi, Great job on therestauration. I have a 87 aswell witch i am working on right now. I see you remounted the swimplatform, dit you work the original holes, or did you use other bigger bolts to mount it? Im afraid to use the same holes and bolts beacause it might break?

I didn’t rework them. With the marine caulk, it went back together just fine.

You are true rock-and-roller that music .I have the same year same color boat as you .I ordered just the rear decal wanted to see if I could do it or not. Very little or no spidercracks on mine at all I'm very lucky. Love my old boat its part of the family. As always thanks for posting these videos I really enjoy them. Try listening to Blackberry Smoke they're not bad at all.

notice you use Black and Blue for the Spider webs Magic Ezy did that give you the color match on that blue

The wife used a darker blue. She said it blends better with a darker shade and lighter blue shows.

Dude you should give Cerakotes black plastic product a try. You can get it at Walmart for sure and probably other places. I’ve used back to black and meguires and Cerakote is leagues ahead

I just purchased an 87' ski nautique and have been inspired by your content. I do have a question not sure if you can answer, these older boats don't have kill switches so was going to install but once I opened up the dash, was a little confused by the wiring. my kill switch has 4 connectors and ignition only three, any advice on where to turn to? can't find any content on electrical with these boats. Please keep this content up, enjoy watching it.. cheers malones

I’m sorry, I so not know. Electrical work is my weak area anyway. There’s a Facebook group called classic Correct Craft or something where you can post and get about 20 answers in a day. Be your best place to go.

Awesome transformation! Curious how did you doctor up those large spider crack areas shown at the end of the video below the blue section? Did those small tubes of touch up do the trick?
@MakeSkiBoatsGreatAgain2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s what she used. It masks it well enough. However, it will likely need to be redone every couple years (was the case on our previous restoration). What I liked about this boat is that most of these sit below the waterline. Damn spider cracks…

So awesome!!!!! Any tips on where to find good deals on used a blue "90s CC Sport Nautique" to fix up? Just like your dream was the yellow one, I grew up with my parents on our lake property with a blue boat, so now my dream is to have restore a blue one Sport Bow Rider version with a wakeboard tower added. Love the interior of the Nautiques with the blue strips! Can't wait! THanks for you videos man found that I deff want to restore or buy and improve at least a bow rider CC Nautique! I need the total fix up and all to try and stay below $10k that includes the fix up budget so hoping I can do that like you did. We are now building a house on a lake so it's coming to pass, but now I need to find a good deal on a Correct Craft Sport Nautique to restore. Also in the 90s are there any years better then others or year to avoid?

awesome content! love the videos! when you guys applied the decal, did you have a point where you measured from so that they place on the same spot on either side?

With gel coat that old, you can always see the faintest outline of the previous decal if you look close enough. She uses that to center the replacements despite those decals not being exactly the same.
