I have a 90 with an oil leak at the rear and haven't been able to pin it down.... I really hope it's as simple as this. If so, I will return and give you ALL of the credit.... I've watched a few vids about pulling the lower intake, valve covers, etc. YOUR video describes my oil leak, gonna dig into it now. Thanks for the motiviation edit: took 30 minutes to dig it out and it was absolutely the problem. When I unplugged it, it was full of oil. No more smokey car at the drive thru, hell yeah brother

Thanks Terry. You wouldn't think the correct pressure sender for a SBC would be hard to nail down, but there are multiple part numbers from, for example, Standard Motor Products. Now that I've seen your experience, I know I have to get to the bottom of it. Glad you were able to salvage your original one.

Yeah, you are right! I was thinking that my original part was still in working condition. So I thought. To just clean it. And reinstall it. And it worked 😁👍🏿

Thanks for the walk through - doing this soon on my 87. BTW: Eckler's Corvette has the right sender, part number 25-113918-1

Just FYI - I did get the new one mentioned above and replace it. my oil pressure went from 46 going down the road and 16 stopped in gear (warm) to 63 going down the road and 29 stopped in gear (warm). yours might not be leaking anymore, but it may not be accurate.

it would help if you showed how to put the tape or glue on.....do you put the tape or glue on the tread before putting it back together>? is it not difficult to screw it back on with tape or glue on the tread ?

Terry, you didn't answer my request at that other video. Maybe you weren't notified, so I'll just ask again here: *Are you okay with emailing me? I want to talk about something privately, but if you're uncomfortable with emailing, I have a NON-email option you can cosider.*
