Amazing this is what a quad should cost and not the 5x prices asked by the name brand companies.

Who wouldn't want a cheap FPV quad to add to their collection? I've still got mine from last year and its been flying great so probably will be passing on this one but good to see the small improvements in the updated model for 2023.

Great video for a someone like me who’s looking into FPV drones. I’m looking forward to more videos about you upgrading the camera and the antenna for analog. Digital is expensive especially with the goggles. Can you recommend an analog brand that would work with this drone setup and the controller that comes with it in a bundle deal. I’m looking to place me an order for 1 pretty soon after watching this. Thanks again for the video.
@AlbertKimTV Жыл бұрын
If you go to the link, they have bundle options included with the drone.

I fly bandos but I watched the entire vid. Looks like a great way for someone new to get into fpv with a 5”. What you said about bando bashers is 100% accurate regarding build price. $100 for motors, $100 for skystars 60 amp stack, $80 for frame, $15 for lipo buzzer, $239 for O3 air unit, and then lots and lots of props and replacement bells for the motors lol. $544 for a digital bando basher… I do think there’s benefits to someone new having a sturdy quad though. The less time you spend fixing means more time flying. Great honest review, Albert. I appreciate them even when it’s not a quad I’m particularly interested in. I love everything fpv 🔥🔥🔥

If you do decide to do a "pimp my budget quad" video on this one, it would be cool to see how much more it would take to get this to what you would consider adequate. Looks pretty good as is considering the $ but obviously room for improvement.
@AlbertKimTV Жыл бұрын
So, I consider this "adequate" in my book. It gets you in the air, and is reasonably flyable. As I mentioned in the video, the first thing to replace is the camera but not 100% necessary to be able to fly it. I'm able to fly it as you saw in the video. Perhaps you can tell me what you feel is "adequate"?

Do u think like apart from the amazing price that its still a rally nice quad to have or is it just meh?
@AlbertKimTV Жыл бұрын
Depends on what your expectations are. For the money it's a fine cruising quad. If you're expecting to win the next FPV race or do crazy freestyle tricks, you should be spending a LOT more money.

Great review of very good priced 5" build. Nice seeing budget options still being offered. I know of no bundles at that good of a price. For those looking to save a bit more on the radio, or prefer game pad style radios. The Jumper T Lite v2 elrs radio can be bought for $60. At the moment Newbeedrone and Aliexpress carry it. Happy flying everyone. 🤓

I could not find an INav barometer that would work. So I used the "inav_use_gps_no_baro = on" to turn off the barometer requirement in order to use the auto-pilot features. Works great you just need to watch the altitude. I may swap in a different FC some day - if I can't solve the barometer issue.

Im considering buying this , just for a cheap camera drone , to chase & video RC planes . My other quads are too small for the action cam I have. I'll either buy this, or a DIY with a $20 frame, speedibee stack & use the motors vtx & cam I bought some time back Speedibee stack & $20 frame is almost the same price .
@AlbertKimTV Жыл бұрын
What about the cost of the motors, camera, and VTX?
@925fpv Жыл бұрын
It's not the same price. SpeedyBee stack is $60 + $20 frame + $50 in motors (cheapest I could find) + $20 camera + $10 VTX = $160. Double the cost of this TX220.
