Tonight I placed some fill, did some grading, and cleaned up a big Walnut from the Build Site with the Kubota KX-080 Excavator. This Walnut will go on the Woodmizer LX 150 Sawmill and should make some beautiful lumber. All thats left on the build site is a little more fill, clean up, and some grading

That adjustable blade on front of the excavator is a great feature for moving fill. The tracks do a good job of compacting - ever think of a small vibratory roller to get a good base? That was a good sized Walnut and the end grain looks promising for lumber when on the mill. Congrats Hanna on your graduating collage. Enjoy the "Fruits of Olive Garden" for dinner. @@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans We are not located near there, but the prevailing winds brought a lot of the smoke to my County. Friday, my area had the worst air quality in the entire world. My best friend from childhood lives in Vacaville, CA, and nearly lost his home. Neighbors stayed behind to save it. They used shovels to put out the flames because there was no water. He sent me pictures showing all the trees on his property burned and the siding on his house melted. He was one of the lucky ones.

A pretty simple option for that slope is to spread a couple inches of top soil. Rake it out and seed it with some bluegrass and rye mixture, then lay down straw mats (secured with sod spikes) for erosion control and you would have beautiful grass next spring.
