hi, why did you put log in the offset? is it always a requirement to put log within the offset ?

Hi, thanks for the video. Very helpful. I have data from professional sport and am looking at number of sprint efforts during games. I have multiple formats of the game of different durations. I’ve assume that to control for the different durations I need to use an offset for time. Would I just add log(time) to the model? Does the same principle work when running glmer models too? Thanks
