Sometimes there is just too much talking and laughter wandering away from the subject. The Sherman Williams white paint video is a good example, showing paint colors from the manufacturers color cards rather than an actual painted board with all the name brand whites she had planned to discuss. The colors could not be seen at all, at least show a picture of a room painted with the color beiing discussed. Repeat the name of the color and the manufacturer. I don' believe I have ever seen a show that has not had their past travels discussed, or at minimum, mentioned. The unpacking of their delivered purchases, is a waste of time and imisleading depending how the subject was introduced or discussed. The surprise grandmother bedroom re-design is an example; most, if not al) of the items were given by the merchandise manufacturers or stores. Please do not be upset with my critiicism I truly enjoy the program and intend to continue watching. Your success is wonderful and your new programming is so exciting. New Joanna and

Because of IKEA, the low end, mass stores in Australia have upped their game. Places like Kmart Australia (completely different to the US) and Target have much better quality now, precisely because IKEA brings great quality at an affordable price.

Yes, would love more videos on Ikea! I love Ikea! They really help the non designs with their great ideas and affordable prices. Love the scandanavian style. When I go there I feel I'm back in the Scandanavian countries, I always feel really excited. I live in Portugal where the sun shines all year round but the scandanavian design is so cozy and has beautiful modern designs❤️

We love IKEA. We own two of their sectionals and two armchairs that all have slipcovers. We've had them for four years and every time they start looking tired, we wash the covers, plump the pillows, and stand back, satisfied. As long as my kids are young (youngest is 5), I will stick with IKEA's slipcovered furniture. When they are a bit older, maybe we'll be willing to pay more than 1k for a sofa *lol* We also have a wall of their pine shelving in our playroom, KALLAX units in several rooms, and a PAHL children's desk that allows one to adjust it's height - all are surviving our children! Sure, IKEA sells a lot of things I wouldn't buy but some of their items are more than just attractive.

@House of Valentina I’m really shocked that you gave the kitchen cabinets a thumbs up. While I haven’t looked at them in person and I agree they look aesthetically appealing, what about the longevity of the cabinets and would you rate the quality as mid-range...are they all wood? Given the pic of the video was in a kitchen, I was expecting tips concerning how an ikea kitchen could be staged/styled to look high end but I need my cabinets to not self destruct, lol, while rolling on a budget. Also, where else might you suggest for durable and affordable and of course stylish😉, kitchen cabinet and counter options. And yes, with the economy as it is, more ikea videos or price friendly options from a range of retailers is always appreciated.

We are in the middle of putting in an Ikea kitchen because we put one into our daughter's flat 5 years ago and it's as good today as the day it was installed! The carcasses are pretty standard with other kitchen companies but Ikea comes with soft-close drawers as standard whereas others charge extra. I also love their sinks an taps - a fraction of the price of 'designer' ware. One tip I would give is to pay a little extra to get the custom made work surfaces - they come with e really good finish.

I love many of the things at Ikea and have many things I have bought from them that have lasted a long time. I think they get a bad rep sometimes, they have some great stuff if you take the time to look and if you think outside the box!

We have the Ikea Kivik sofa and love seat and we LOVE them! We have a very small house and the fact that they are low profile help them not look oversized in my living room. The cushions are deep and very comfortable. The best part is you can wash the WHOLE couch. Not only the cushions but also the arm rests. Its just a slip cover so you can always remove and replace. Etsy even sells covers for them in any color and fabric you can imagine for a very reasonable price. I have 3 cats and a baby granddaughter. We wash these cushions at least once a week! Highly recommend.

I think there are many of us that want high end looks on a conservative budget. Whether it's that CoVid has changed our finances or we have kids in college that we are paying for or who knows what else, but we still want to have designer looks in our home and make our homes our beautiful sanctuaries. If you use a good wood glue while putting it together it will hold up to hard use. I love Ikea for kitchen towels. they are under a dollar. Work great to clean eye glasses. Kitchen cabinets and Billy bookcase have so many uses. Love their drinking glasses too. ❤️ Love your ideas and tips.. You rock.

I adore dark woods furnitures so much, tbh one of the biggest regret I’ve ever made when it came to furnishing my old place was not going for a dark wood bed frame but a grey metal one, totally ruined the vibe!!
