I’d love to see your room come together! I was so uplifted by the last video that I’ve named my latest family of ornamental illustrations Valentina. I’d been searching for the right name for a week and then it was like a neon sign burst onto the computer screen. It had to be inspiring, fun and sophisticated and suits them perfectly. Thank you for the inspiration in every video.

People should rethink TV. A quiet space for thinking and reading, plants, Art you love, comfort and real alone time is so beneficial.

Yeeees! You see so many rooms which are centered towards the screen instead of inviting conversation / contact.

Well if you have numerous people in the family and have to compromise, you could do the tv that is covered by art. I don’t know how the art is chosen, but I saw it on one of those HGTV shows. The wife did not want a tv in the room because of the way it looks. She compromised with the hubby and got the tv I talked about.

I like hiden TVs. I'm also against TVs in bedrooms. That room looks like a nice sitting room with some space to do family game night, 🧩 ect. I like a soft bright sunroom.
@gwenwade60594 жыл бұрын
Keep the tv in that hidden lounge. Quieter and away. Go earthy neutrals and plants with everything low on ground seating and eating and playing. Your family sit in an upright posture and play and meditation is a bonus!

I say create a spa environment in this room - with a water feature, lounge recliners (not the lazy boy type), a mini bar, lots of tropical plants, a game table, (maybe even a billiard table.) I like whites with emerald green color pops, and a hint of wood/wicker (a mod tropical ceiling fan) like you just steeped into a tropical paradise.

My mom was a clothes buyer in New York. She was sharp and shrewd. Her advice to me as a kid was shop at the fancy places first. OMGOSH, every time I watch your videos, I think it can't get any better than this, but you always manage to hit the ball out of the park! This is exactly what I needed to help me with my, new to me, Townhouse. So far I have been working on the fundamental things, new paint throughout, new hardwood floors, kitchen, entry hall and bathroom light fixtures, kitchen appliances, water saving toilets, new light switches to accommodate LED lights, countertop and floating vanity in the bathroom. Lots left to do but little by little it's getting done. I want it to be energy-efficient as well as esthetically pleasing. The tips you share are so well thought out and help us resist going down the emotional path to candy land which can be fraught with overspending and regrets, to following our true design desire and coming out a winner at the end. Thank you, Valentina!

Wow Valentina you just read my mind. Right when we are moving to our new home and me and my husband are just thinking and thinking, ... and thinking. Because we got a nice house yes, however, the main floor is such a weird open ish" layout. And I'm just melting my brain into coming up with ideas for the main floor! On addition, we have a boy of 5 and a girl of 2.... Is really challenging this whole decoration process. I started watching you when we were putting our old house for sale. About a month ago. With the amazing comical video you made of staging your house to sale. Which it helped us a lot! We got an offer 10 days after listing. And ever since I felt in love with your videos and your whole vibe! Keep on Valentina. Hopefully I can buy ypur designs in the future!❤ ❤

We’ve been in our current home for 6 years, but just bought it from our landlord. Suddenly, I find myself unhappy with how we organized and decorated now that we own it. Of course, now I can do things like update the fixtures and paint and flooring. This is a good thing to hold onto as I redo our house. I’m starting in the kitchen and just picking new paint colors and reorganizing has changed the whole feel of it. Now I WANT to be in there. As for throwing everything together I like and figuring it out later, something I tell my husband is that I need to stare at it for a while before I decide on it. Most of my furniture is stuff I’ve rehabbed and sat in my garage for weeks or months )or that one chair for years) while I decide what to do with it and where it should go.

It’s about priorities! If you short change yourself on that one piece of dream furniture you may never feel like the room achieves what you want it to!
