@thad4242 Wow. You have poor sportsmanship and are consistently ruining it for everyone else. Protip: When you're consistently running rounds 25-0 and all your opponents can't climb past one or two kills, you need to find a new training ground suitable to your skill level. You might be having "great fun" (at our expense), but you're not getting "better practice" any more than you would by playing in a bot lobby.
@thad42424 ай бұрын
@@frakking Hey, Frakking! I don’t think I have poor sportsmanship. I treat everyone in the lobby with respect, and have made countless friends from it. I’d also like to mention, the kill limit has been changed twice since being at 25, so i don’t think you have played the map recently. I’d also like to think that there are a lot of great players on the map, and I’m in no way the best. Sorry you feel that way, I’m not trying to ruin the experience for anyone.
@frakking4 ай бұрын
@@thad4242 I don't think you're treating them with respect when you don't respect their time. You disrespect their time when you make it impossible for them to do the thing they're there to do in the first place. Part of sportsmanship is respecting a level field of play - and you quite deliberately sandbag, because you're not looking for a level field of play. 25-0 was an example. I've seen you go 40-0. Has the kill limit been changed yet again? I wouldn't know - players like you made the map useless for the rest of us, so I stopped playing it. I'm not going to continue wasting my time just so you can have fun playing whack-a-mole. That's not what I'm there for. And regardless of what the kill limit is, or how recently I've played, my point still stands. In fact, it's sad to see you confirm that you've basically continued to ruin the experience for others.
@thad42424 ай бұрын
@@frakking I hope you know I enjoy competition, and there are players that I frequently run into that I do compete with. When you’re not playing with anyone above your skill level, you don’t get better. Again, if you don’t want to play with me, you can always change your server to get another lobby (I play nae and central). And these people that I “sandbag” are people that I’ve created relationships with. I offer advice/tips/tricks whenever I play as well. Quitting whenever someone is better than you is your choice, but I always stay so I can learn. Ggs, I hope you don’t count this map out because of me when I only play certain times of the day and on specific servers.

"most players stand near cover, they don't use cover"... I am guilty of that too. I noticed this while analyzing a replay from the opponent's perspective. I thought I was really well positioned behind a tree, but when I stepped out to fire, I walked way to far and was out in the open. Now I know to take a few steps back and stay much closer to cover.

I remember one of your past videos, where you mentioned standing back from cover when peeking, and also hugging walls against a roof enemy. But today you better explained it in more detail. Much easier to understand as this one only covers “cover”😊

What I teach people is to not strafe or walk backwards to return to your cover. If it’s more than a step or 2 that is. Turning and using forward movement is a better option.

Suggestion for your map. I've run into a few situations where I load up the map and find that it's just a bunch of folks playing the same strategy over and over while I am trying to work on something else. I understand they're probably working on a specific skill or whatever, but I'm trying to figure out a way where it would be possible to do exactly what you're showing in this video, and that is coordinating with people to team up and practice specific skills, like jump shots, using cover, vehicle fights, proper shockwave use, etc. It's hard for me to work on vehicle fights or shockwaves when there's someone camped on a roof lasering me with every respawn. I get the intent is to mimic real fights, but if there were different "areas" of the map or something that were specific to a skill that would be awesome. Maybe a central FFA area (like the map in it's current state) with separate zones from the respawn area for peaks, shockwaves, vehicles, etc. Maybe even set up some firing range lanes with dummy targets for peaks and cover. Then we know anyone in that designated area (or arena) would be there to work on the same mechanics. Idk, just brainstorming here. An creating extra work for you too lol.

Since it’s been around for so long good players know whats coming, they will pre fire you , so it’s important to change your position before repeating the move. ( as you mentioned)Good Information!

Getting better at the jump shot has been easier for me than the doing the right hand peek well. The Shinobi Realistic FFA Map would be a great resource for getting better. Unfortunately, every time I try to use it, there's almost always one player who's absolutely dunking on the weaker players, making it impossible for them to even have a chance to fight and improve. They're shockwaving around constantly and either pre-empt or third party nearly every fight, so there's almost no chance for weaker players to try these tactics against anyone remotely close to their skill level before they're wiped and respawning. I'm talking about guys running 25-0, while everyone else can't climb past one or two kills total. I can improve by playing people at my level. I can improve by playing people who are somewhat above my level. But I cannot realistically practice and improve by playing people who are ten times better than me. It's poor sportsmanship and there really needs to be more policing of these guys, because they're defeating the entire purpose of the map by using other people's attempts to improve as a free dunking ground to stroke their own ego. It's also only a few people who are doing this - they're just doing it over and over, all evening, every evening. Yeah, Thad, I'm looking at you.
@Trial884 ай бұрын
Some of my biggest jumps in growth have come from playing people that are well above my skill level. It hurts and it sucks, but if you stick with it you’ll get better. Even if it doesn’t feel like it at first. If you suffer through an hour or two of getting stomped on by guys like Thad, MF Dump or Dyzz then playing against the normal people you play against will feel easier. Do it for weeks and you’ll see the improvement.
