If you are nervous about bra shopping, a way to find out your size is to take measuring tape, and measure around your rip cage and along your back... the inches would be your band size. To find out your cup size, measuring tape around your chest and back *MINUS* the measurement of your rip cage. Do the same measurement on your chest leaning forward, and minus the rib cage measurement. The average between the two will be your cup size 1 inch difference is A, 2 inch difference is B, 3 inch difference is C... and so forth. Example: my rib cage is 28. Measurements around my chest are 32, but leaning forward, the measurement around my chest is 33. Average is 32.5, then! So 32.5- 28 = 4.5. 4 inches means D, half an inch means DD. Therefore - I am 28DD. Hopefully this information helps, or eventually helps C:

I feel like misgendering someone when you work in retail is this double edged sword. On the one hand, you don't want to misgender someone who's trans, and on the other you don't want to imply that beauty standards or the product your selling is confined to one binary gender. If they're doing it with cruel intent, that's a whole other story. And I'm not trying to invalidate the hurt being misgendered can cause someone. It's just a tricky topic, when you're paid / demanded to be as customer pleasing as you humanly can.

+Kylie Summers Once again not 100% sure but this is at least how i'm getting estrogen. My family wants me to see a therapist before i transition, therapy isnt completely guaranteed but it'll probably factor in at some point of transition. The therapist will make sure you're actually transgender, then recommend you to a doctor that can prescribe you hormones (forgot the name, endocrinologist?) they will ask you more questions, physically examine you, then prescribe you hormones (you usually start with a small dose, and you might be able to choose between taking your hormones in pills, injections, or a patch) my first therapy session is actually sept 15th so your path might be different but i hope this was at least some help lmao.

BTDubs, it's totally okay to be a muscular girl! As a Pre-T trans man I genuinely understand the dysphoria that can come from having arms that don't match the rest of you, but there are so many strong women out there like Kacey Katanzarro (I hope I spelled her name at least half right) who are American ninja warriors. I know this won't alleviate dysphoria but I just wanted you to know that your arms are great no matter what, as silly as that sounds. I don't remember exactly how I got my arms "feminine," I guess mostly just through kind of cruddy genetics, but if I find any ways I'll absolutely tweet them to you because I want you to be as comfortable in your body as you possibly can be. So so so much love

Good luck with that. As a human you make connections and try to communicate efficiently and sincerely. You usually do say things like he, she, him, her, sir, ma'am, etc. If you misgender then apologize but dont use pronounce like it or things as such. But I mean Stef, even if I didn't know of her, I'd still call her ma'am or she. She doesn't even look like a man.

@CharlieFox20158 жыл бұрын
Anna Kirwan there is a difference in calling someone who is mtf "sir" and calling the offender "sir". The effects are absolutely different.
@ursie19868 жыл бұрын
But that would be deliberately malicious. I think a shop girl in Hot Topic is probably on a path to openmindedness herself (the "alt" lifestyles) and simply made a wrong guess, in place of her other option which would've been "excuse me - are you a man or a woman? - can I help you?"
@CharlieFox20158 жыл бұрын
+cx1735 are you really not understanding what the point of the reply would be? to show the girl, who is clearly not open-minded when it comes to being trans, that Stef is definitely not a "sir". it's sarcasm. it works this way. As for the "I'm sorry, are you a woman or a man?" - Jesus Christ, NO, please, never ask this anyone. I don't know you, but chances are you don't have first-hand experience in being asked this. I do. Please, just don't. You can ask if a person needs help without knowing their gender. If they are comfortable, they will tell you themselves.
@mechantechatonne8 жыл бұрын
That person may have misgendered you because they were trying not to make assumptions. There are some men that choose to present themselves in an androgynous way, and she might have assumed you would have been offended if she used female pronouns. I know men that wear makeup and hairstyles and clothing associated with women but go by male names and pronouns and do not identify as trans. It's impossible to guess by looking at a person if they are trans or simply gender non-conforming. Maybe you were a dude who just liked makeup and would have been like "I'm obviously a man. Quit playing just because I'm in lipstick." She couldn't have possibly known without knowing you.

She trains her voice. Estrogen doesn't change your voice.
@nikkismall15898 жыл бұрын
Yes, but it takes voice training and readjusting your voice to the softness, pitch, tone, etc that you desire. It takes a lot of time, like she says in her Vocal Training video. Either way, i just meant that purely estrogen alone wouldn't change her voice as drastically as it has been trained to be. Ya know?

I'm a cis girl with a decently large cleft chin, more cleft and pronounced than stefs, does that mean I'm masculine? ( this isn't like a comment with attitude I just never thought about it being a "masculine" thing on women like stef mentioned ) I have the face shape she has now. God now I'm self conscious omg no
@jaimebenway60648 жыл бұрын
Girl nooooo. It's not a masculine feature at all! She said in the video that it's more for HER dysphoria, which is more of an internalized type self-conscious thing. You're fine sweetie. Stef is fucking gorgeous as she is right now, and if you've got her face shape, you must be too. You've got nothing to worry about :)
@elizabethnicole27858 жыл бұрын
No boo! Femininity and masculinity have a spectrum - it's completely natural to be female with 'more pronounced' features! For Stef, I beleive she wants to reduce dysphoria surrounding the features she has personally identified as masculine; for you, a cleft chin may not represent masculinity. It's all personal preference. All I'm trying to say is, don't worry! Having a stronger jaw line is just that - simply having a stronger jaw line, no gendering necessary. I hope this made you feel better!

when you constantly get misgendered and are already feeling dysphoric AND you have to be worried about weirdo ignorant people literally willing to go out of their way to make your life bad (even up to murder), it gets to you and you as a cis person honestly have no right to tell us trans people "to not let it bother us, cuz it happened to you once."
@kittysunflower48118 жыл бұрын
+mariekt they aren't trying to be malicious. sometimes people accidently say the wrong gender and it has nothing to do with how you look. obviously its going to bother trans people. I mean sometimes it even bothers me and I'm cis gender. we aren't trying to say that just because a person misgenders you, doesn't mean they were trying to be rude.

982743 Gigi is a public person. The problem is that she is recognizable as someone who is trans because she expresses herself as one on a huge platform. They probably did a background check on her and figured it out, it had nothing to with the way she looks (and she looks stunning). Again, it's not their problem that people can be assholes. Neither Gigi, nor Stef look like a man. If you think they do, well then it's your problem. I just wonder, if you met Gigi or Stef and you had to talk to them, would you call them "sir"?
@9827438 жыл бұрын
Charlie Fox if stef looked a woman, the sales person would never called her sir. don't you agree?

982743 I don't. I have explained this in details in one of my previous comments. You didn't answer my question: would you call Gigi or Stef a sir?

Hi Stef, first let me congratulate you on the 9 mo.s and the changes made, you're looking fantastic in my opinion. I am compelled to comment on your being "misgendered" at the Hot-Topic and proffer the viewpoint that you may actually be humbly selling yourself short! Let me explain. You have a quite successful channel, with many hundreds of thousands of views, PLUS, you're in town here, and to a place with almost zero naturally occurring culture like Toronto, you're probably followed a lot more by local people who want to touch fame and observe the scene. So since you were all done up and misgendering would be almost IMPOSSIBLE, it is more likely that the bitch at HT *knew* who you were and had a highschool moment where she had to take you down a peg because she was threatened by your femininity. Hot-Topic is really a "Hot-bed" of catty, jealous, drama prone fascists, as anyone who has shopped there knows. They do have bomb jewellery though...sigh Keep up the good works and thank you!

Gurl, I would so go with you to shop for lacies. I took a friend to her first bathingsuit shopping excursion and we had SO much fun! She never got shite for going into her appropriate changing room, and if she had, I'd have been ALLLL over anyone that gave her even the stink eye like white on rice. I hope you have someone to stand- and shop with you, and that you have SCADS of fun when you finally go. Blessings on your journey, and be safe, mama! ♥♥

Gender dysphoria. It could cause mental issuses other than dysphoria like depression or anxiety. People change to the gender they feel and it will change the feelings of sadness or lessen them. I know. That being transgender is a real thing though. Now shut the fuck up and stop being a rude ass bitch

Bra shop online, girl! There are tips and tricks to measuring your band and cup size pretty accurately, which are extra easy to do if you have a friend to help. There are bra size calculators on the interwebs, too, so that helps a lot!! This is what I do, too, since I tend to get SUPER demoralized while bra shopping, despite being afab, because my body is not catered to in the general market so eeeehhhhh being in the store can be a little overwhelming.

I think Victoria's Secret is overwhelming for any girl. If you're feeling nervous, you should check out one of those small mom and pop type undergarment shops. Like the kind where the lady comes into the room with you and handles your stuff. I know this sounds waaaaay more invasive, but girl those boob ladies have seen EVERYTHING! As a woman who also struggles with her appearance and is incredibly intimidated by Victoria's Secret, I find the boob ladies really comforting and reassuring. They don't judge and just want to help you feel comfortable in your own skin. Btw, recently found your channel and love you!! You're helping me cope with some of my own issues.
