For anyone wondering about Issei Segawa, while he was a celebrity for a time due to the horrible act he did, in later years before his death, particularly amongst the rising youth and up & coming, he became an outcast by everyone for it; he was unable to find work, no one wanted to publish his works, he was rejected from a French language school and was denied access to his parents' funeral... After so long you'll began realizing your fate, if you don't do anything you'll definitely die. So you might as well die trying than just laying there accepting your fate. I'm sure after hrs of his arm being crushed he lost most of the feeling in his arm. The cutting itself he likely didn't feel, not until he cut through the nerves and had to snap the bone in his arm. He was more concerned about stopping the bleeding after that point. So basically the whole process would be fairly quickly after he reaches the point of no return. Dawn's death was so tragic. Both her and Steve knew the risk of the animals they worked with but in Steve's case it was a wild animal doing what it does in tragic accident. My heart breaks everytime I think about Steve Irwin. He was my childhood hero. I remember waking up super early to watch his show on Animal Planet, and would sometimes talk in an Australian accent. I grew up being around the same age as Bindi and would imagine we were friends and worked at the zoo. I was 8 or 9 when I heard that he had passed away. My parents had to take me aside and explain that he had died and I just remember being devastated. I cannot imagine the pain his family went through, but I know that they know that Steve impacted so many peoples lives and was an inspiration to many.
@stevenjon13473 жыл бұрын
Steve grew up in the same area where I live which was surrounded by nature back in the late 60's and 70's. His parents owned the Beerwah Reptile and Fauna Park, a small reptile farm where Steve learnt all about reptiles and other animals. My parents looked after injured kangaroos, raised them and they stayed with us at our property, living inside and hopping around outside when they pleased. After a couple of our kangaroos died, my Mum called Bob (Steve's Dad) and asked if they had any injured kangaroos, which they did and Bob drove to our house with a baby joey for us to raise and take care of. Bob got out of his car with the joey and next to him was his son Steve, a lanky surfy kid who wouldn't have been more than 15/16 at the time. Bob was really nice by my parent's account and Steve was quiet at the time as you'd expect being a teenager following along with his Dad. Both Bob and Steve loved animals and are the genuine article.

I can't Even Begin to immange what Steve's family went through. I remember growing up and watching him on TV and I just thought of Australia as this huge far off place somewhere on this rock we call earth. And just hearing about his death I thought honestly it was fake when I heard about it. But I mean, I really do think that he is a big reason why I grew up to love all animals (with the exception of spiders, FUCK SPIDERS!!) But I mean I used to immange myself in this huge house with just myself and dogs and all other means of critters. I just wish that Steve Irwin was still alive today, I'd of loved to of met him, I'd love to just tell him how much he ment to some dumbass confused kid and their siblings. We truly did lose an amazing person that day and I just would of loved to see him talking about how instead of turning brother against brother friends against friends we should focus on loving not only ourselves and our loved ones, but on working together to love animals and help those who can't ask for help. I really don't ever want to have to witness that footage, I hope that if any copies remain of it they stay hidden away forever.

I have to admit, I completely fell for Seaworld’s BS excuse regarding Dawn’s death. I was young and stupid, but I’ve matured to know a cover story when I see one. Dawn knew the risks when working with a dangerous animal like the Orca, it’s an apex predator after all. But now that I listened to this, neither Dawn nor Tilikum were to blame in the incident - Seaworld was responsible for the incident and how they tried pinning the blame on Dawn with the ponytail excuse. Working with animals is a dangerous trade which has many risks involved. But Seaworld not accepting responsibility for this is just…despicable.

Mata, Letterman asked the question 5 year olds do. The blatant, put you on the spot type. Kids ask adults questions that are awkward to them all the time.... They don't know any better. David on the other hand is an experienced talk show host. He posed his question in the most insincere way possible. As for Letterman's predictions, i predict the sun will rise tommorow. As long as you're not dead, I predict you will breathe at least once today. I predict that if a million cars on the roads of the UK are running they will at least chuck out 1kg of co2 between them all. These are all indescribably obvious predictions. The same as asking a guy who spends his time with predatory bears whose life purpose is to breed and EAT may one day be their food......

@@stevej5185 I don’t understand how his actions were meaningless though? I agree with your second point that it was dumb to go out there without telling someone, but what he did was necessary for him to be alive today. He spend 5 days and 7 hours with his arm trapped between in that rock and was running out of food and water, not to mention that the blood wasn’t circulating to his arm anymore, so he would have died anyways. I believe that his choice was one of the best ones he could have made at the time, seeing as it was his only hope of getting out alive. Even if he cut his arm off and then died to blood loss soon after, he would have died in the end from staying trapped anyways. I would have done the same, because it’s better to cut your arm off with the chance of surviving afterwards rather than sitting there and dying from dehydration. Just my opinion, and i know your comment was your own opinion, but I feel like his actions were justified in the situation he was in
