Ariel Wang those are the places where the concealer or foundation beneath it (anything liquid or creamy) can tend to crease and leaves chunky cakey looking lines that just don’t look good. Problem is if you use the wrong powder to set it and prevent it from doing this, it can show up when there’s flash.

It's not an issue with baking or blending. It's white cast from the flash bouncing off the powder. They just need to use photo finish makeup that doesn't cause the white cast.

Avoid makeup marked as HD or have these items in the ingredients to avoid the white cast flashback SILICA POWDER, ZINC OXIDE, TITANIUM DIOXIDE, MICA, SHIMMER AND GLITTER. Which sucks because that's most highlighters, anything with SPF, and most makeups that are used to mattify. Their makeup artists should've known that. You have to use high quality photo ready makeup.

HD powder is the powder you use when you want to take photos with flash, Any HD makeup product is created for flash photography, however any other regular powder may cause flashback. So there is no flashback from using an HD powder.

The powder problems are due to the flash- makeup artists need to use a special powder to avoid the flash picking up on the powder that clings to the hairs on your skin, the makeup artist for Angelina came out and spoke about it, the flash effected it and made it come up like that- as far as Miley, that was in her 'always sticking her tongue out' phase, she licked the makeup off her chin...

Not only is that powder fail only visible with the flash photography, but I love when the guy asks what powder is for, and the girl says it's for shine and he says "oh, and redness, right?" and she agrees... No, green is for redness, not a translucent setting powder. Please tell me how translucent powders help with colour correction? You use the colour wheel to colour correct. Whatever colour you are trying to fix (for example, red), the opposite colour on the colour wheel (green) will correct it.
