I did agree with your comments on clothing & found I'm always changing sizes. In recent times finally get rid of it if I don't wear it for a season. I stored in totes, thinking I'm saving $ I'll wear it again, by the time I went back,it was no longer my style😊. I concur with the comments on the questionnaire. In my experience, most organizers have encountered either missing questions or excessive focus on specific topics, such as bin storage, families with multiple children, and individuals with large family homes; never double-income families with no children and furry kids. I have observed numerous influencers, hoping to find one who discusses strategies without children, those with kitchen cabinets and small pantries, and those who store quantities of small items like spices in their kitchen’s food storage space. Perhaps individuals who do not wish to center their decor or office decor on a wall of bins, do not have a walk-in pantry, large laundry room, but rather smaller spaces, rooms, or closets for organized storage, would be more relevant to a few surveys. I found the question concept of what would you do to prepare to get rid of something to be effective. I preferred to donate, as there was no space for home sales. Also in my career, it was not wise publicly showcase where I lived.

I keep multiples of scissors. I also have backups for each of my favorite jeans (in case they're discontinued. Perfect jeans are hard to find!)

I’ll get the same item in a few colors if I find something that just looks great on me. I also have like 6 pairs of my favorite flats because they were discontinued.

Same - lots of scissors, nail cilppers, tape. I also buy multiples of shoes I love. I think duplicate jeans are a great idea, too.

The pro of having an isolation (maybe/time out/time will tell) bin is that when you revisit it, it decreases in size as it’s pared down over time. You’re able to detach more and more, since you haven’t used the stuff.

Yes, it can be helpful for that!

Looking good Laura! Happy New Year! I agree with your first point as I tend to declutter in different ways depending on season, workload and energy etc. For example, this holiday I have been busy but I have kept on top of empty packaging, emptying the bins regularly, and finding two items a day (no matter how small) to declutter from the house. This two items a day approach is motivating me and I don't have to try hard - they are just things I happen to come across as I move about and think 'yes- that can go!'. I am sure that in the spring I will do more decluttering with greater amounts but for now, I enjoy the two item rule!

I do digital and paper. Having our own family business I lean more toward keeping paper because I have had 2 hard drives crash and 1 Server "melt" in the Arizona heat.

Thank you for this video, I have to do a few minutes at a time because of health. The Minimalists really helped me because they don't focus on how much, instead they focus on mindset, quality of life and the why for each person.

I agree - I NEVER want to go completely digital! I want to re-start letter writing this new year - proper handwritten letters and cards rather than soulless emails and snapchat etc! I love boxes and organised papers, but I do need to get rid of a lot of surplus unwanted paper in my decluttering this year. I also prefer paper calendars/journals to digital ones and I prefer cash to digital money.

Yes I think it depends on the task. For me I would rather process paper clutter for only 15 mins a day but cleaning my fridge I'd rather delve in and get it done at one time. I go by task type now. Either do it all at once or spread it across the week/s. Helps me alot

Hi would love the link to see what type of organizer I am (I.e. sunflower etc) don’t see any of the links you mentioned. Thanks!

Yes! Multiple phone chargers and laptop chargers. My husband has a bazillion drug store Readers because he always misplaces them or they break.

I took the quiz. The results do not sound like me or anything I’d be happy with. Firstly, if I had a bunch of bins that didn’t match… that’d be the first thing I’d declutter. 😂 I felt like some of the questions didn’t even have an answer that I would choose at all. Hmm… I do enjoy and value your videos, though.

The organizing type info is in the description under the video.

I took that test, and honestly, it seems to be trying to copy Clutterbug organizing styles. Ya just can't out perform Clutterbug!

I didn’t see anything mentioning the different types during the video?? Did I miss something? I appreciate you adding the link to someone else’s comment but other than you being a sunflower personally I did not hear anything about decluttering types.😅

I just found your channel and the subject is very interesting. However, I find it disconcerting that you keep looking “offstage”. When you look at the camera it is as though you are looking at your audience. When you look to the side and beyond the camera it is as though your audience is missing something.
