Naw don't think that, I'm autistic and slowly adulting And guess what, I used to say I'll never like Kissing and in december that has just passed, I got to explore my first kiss ever. Didn't feel much during but days later, I started to love and miss it. Now I crave it. However I gotta find someone who doesn't wanna just use me and loves me no matter what and is there for me I wish you all the best and when you are ready, you'll experience all this yourself. Everyone used to tell me something similar, so I hope you have a lovely day and if you wanna explore it, in time you will, or if you don't, don't fret, give yourself praise and keep being you ❤

I'd just like to say that as a person with ASD, these things can be a real nightmare in terms of others interpreting it that way. -Generally being awkward and uncomfortable which the other may perceive as sexual tension. -Often unable to realize how others will interpret what you're saying (for instance, I love humour. I love dark jokes, dirty jokes. I tend to just blurt these out. Whenever it happens to be a dirty joke, people tend to interpret it as "flirting", whereas to me there is a strict line between "I make a joke about a general dirty topic" vs "I make a dirty joke specifically in relation to you" (flirting) ). -Often oblivious to cues that others are dropping: Someone else might truly be trying to flirt with me, and I'd fully interpret it as "oh yay! A new friend who has the same interests as me!" It's unfortunate as these things can be very hurtful on both sides. I hate feeling like i made a friend, only to learn the person wants to date me and then drops me when I decline. And on the other hand, I can imagine it must hurt terribly when you think you really have this connection with someone, you finally pick up the courage to ask them out... And then you learn their oblivious autistic butt wasn't about that in the first place. Just meaning to say: Even if these signs can be meaningful, please always be careful when interpreting the person in front of you. These signals are most definitely not applicable to everyone, even if they are to a lot of people. In doing so, you and the other person may well get hurt.

I'm not autistic, but sometimes I wonder if I do have a little bit of it, especially more within the past 2 years then when I first was wondering, also the stories I hear from others who do have Autism, sound so similar that it's hard to believe that I wouldn't have just a small percent of it. I'm really not kidding when I say, your comment has described me to a T. These symptoms really collided with myself, and my psyche, which made senior year extremely difficult - academically, socially, and on top of it all, in the dating world, basically dating world is my most fearful nightmare out of the few things I'm truly afraid of. Not until I was 18 was I official diagnoses due to the psychiatry protocols, I ended up having BPD, and would after HS in combination with, OCD, and PTSD, at least these are the bigger ones that affect me daily, along with a couple of others. While they're completely different diagnoses it's still so strange to me how much the Autism and my disorders overlap so much. I've done a bunch of research on it, and have even a folder in my notes section for taking and bookmarking links I find. I mentioned this to my therapist, that with all the stuff I have, I'm slightly surprised I wasn't mistakenly diagnosed for this one. For instance, aside from my learning disabilities dating back to pre school, BPD caused me to have lots of learning issues. This is HUGE when it comes to being social and interacting, primarily focused in dating. I was on a bit of learning/researching hiatus for a long time, and decided to dive into how I best learned things. I was asked my therapist her thoughts on what I was doing, and maybe combining what they and how they teach people/kids with Autism, and how BPD people best learn, among ADHD as well. I will also mention, BPD specifically - the number one tell tale sign, is that you struggle on a deep level with any relationships, but mainly the romantic ones. I've not only learned this through years of therapy, but even after watching some of the videos on here, ( I find a great deal in value for me to review those things every once in a while!)I have realized some things to this day, which I still hadn't realized that even happened, and most of it is from 4/5 years ago. Briefly, from what I know/knew back then, in total, I've had 5 exes - most except one, I've dumped. I started dating at 17, I'm now 22. It was so hard - not to mention studying to graduate which almost didn't happen - all but one, were some of the most brutal, and abusive relationships I've ever had. This I didn't realize until after reflecting on last year: the first 2, both were one sided in "faults" wise." The other 3 I did contribute to that, and I still find it kind of insane that as unfortunate as it was, during the whole ordeal, I was so mentally f*** even I never realized that I also contributed to it. However, what I for sure know, it for SURE wasn't a 50/50....There was a couple, that just no matter what I did, how hard I tried, he wasn't a good partner, friend, or person and became unsafe, almost violently dangerous towards me. With the above said, when it comes to the topic of this video, it was the absolute worst. I was always told, of course, coming from a good place of those very close to me "don't have sex on the first date!!" then later after high school, they switched to "ok, well now that your 18, lets try not to and then work on this." Of course, never worked. Only did about once, and then didn't really talk to that person after that first date.... at one point after high school, had up to 6 dating apps on my phone, because situations like these, would correspond to my symptoms from my disorders, and it would be the most awful, depressive, heartbreaking and wrenching things sometimes. Sometimes I'd be on the opposite end where I would do those things you've mentioned above, and the other guy might've been on the same page, but then after a bit of a few dates, I'd bring up dating, but they'd always either find a loop hole, find my behavior off, mainly due to my disorder, and back then, I didn't come out with my disorder immediately, so it was always after we decided to stick to friends is when I'd say that. I know this is a wall of texts, but I share these stories so others don't feel alone. This isn't just to the person that posted the comment, but for anyone that feels free to read!

By the math, this would mean roughly every 38km (~23 miles) anywhere in the World someone would find you handsome/pretty if we spread humanity evenly across all the land on the Earth and all you could attain was 0.05%. Realistically it is more closer to 10-40% with averaging and outliers removed.

Do you feel rejected or unsure because your partner doesn’t seem to be enthusiastic about connecting sexually with you? That’s a tough one! Shy/sexually bashful people may not initiate sex, or sexual conversations, and that can leave their more out-going partners feeling unattractive or undesirable. What to do? Tell them that. We should remember that a relationship is a two-way street, and we deserve to feel supported and desired as well. You can have a sexy, fun, consensual dynamic with your shy or bashful partner, it just may take some workarounds and careful communication to help create a healthy and sustainable relationship.

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. Women can build incredible friendships and become very close to each other in a way men can't bond, and science shows that women can bond very well with each other. Generally, women are even more social than men are. After something bad happens, a woman quickly rushes to talk to all of her female friends to get support, whereas a man can isolate himself and grief alone. Women tend to be more emotional, more caring, more empathic, more compassionate, more affectionate, more loyal, more nurturing, more understanding, more sympathetic, more sensitive, more kind-hearted, more peaceful, more calmer, more gentle, more expressive, more intuitive, and more outward than men are, and thus bond more with other women in a special way that they can’t with men. Men, on the other hand, are not that emotional, and thus can’t bond with other men in a special way. Women are more comfortable being around with other women than they are with men. They have a type of bond that usually men with women won’t really have, or with men and men. Women feel a lot safer in general with other women than they do with men if either is alone with each other, and it is easier for women to trust other women more than it is to trust a man.
@brain_respect_and_freedom Жыл бұрын
@@icysnow57cold64 Thank you for your insight. Your question touched on a very important topic: Where do gender expectations come from? Where do gender stereotypes come from? Gender stereotypes are complex and originate from local culture and traditions. Children learn what constitutes female and male behavior from their family and friends, the media, and institutions including schools and religious bodies. If we think one gender is "more" or less" it's our bias. We are all human.
@icysnow57cold64 Жыл бұрын
@@brain_respect_and_freedom Men are usually much lonelier than women are. Men don't often talk about their personal problems with their male friends like how women do with their female friends. Females produce a lot more oxytocin than males do. And that's a reason why women tend to hug a lot more and be a lot more physically affectionate than men do. Most daughters have a very strong bond with their mother, while they don’t have one with their father, and most sons don’t have that strong of a bond with neither their mother nor their father. Most females have a very strong bond with their sisters, while they don’t have one with their brothers, and most males don’t have that strong of a bond with neither their sisters nor their brothers. A big reason why many women hope to have a daughter instead of a son when they are trying to get pregnant is for the experiences one doesn't get with a son, like shopping for her prom dress together or going for mother/daughter manicures. In many cases as a girl grows up, she becomes closer to her mother whereas boys aren't generally as close with their parents. And also, it's also harder for females to bond with their brothers than it is with their sisters for the exact same reasons. The bond that two females have with each other is the strongest bond of them all, and that's one of the reasons why sayings like “girls always have to stick together” exist. The friendship of males and females can hardly be as good as a female to a female relationship from a woman’s point of view. How can a man and woman have a special strong type of bond with each other if women have a special strong type of bond with each other while men don’t have one with each other?

Im definitely awkward. I went on a coffee date in my car (it was a super crowded and busy Starbucks and it barely had any chair to sit and it was super loud). I was self conscious because I had my natural hair out (which I never do for dates but I decided to try it for second time) and I had no fake nails on. I was blushing in the car and thank goodness he found it adorable. Like the sexual tension in the car was so intense, you could cut a knife through it. We had a good conversation (we talked about Disney, he has a deathstar tattoo, we talked about anime, food, traveling, both having a love for basketball). I hate to admit this but the tension was addressed in the car. We both did ask each if it was ok to kiss because why not and I appreciate that we both discussed everything because it made the kiss so much better. So make sure you and the other person are on the same page. We still communicate too.

@sarahp3914 Жыл бұрын
@@Psych2go For me, they can be impossible to tell apart experientially, especially in the past when I was attracted to toxic men and didn't realize it. You might feel the excitement or attraction to someone when you're in their presence, and you can't control those feelings. The feelings by themselves aren't enough to tell them apart. You have to look at the *person* - their character, how they treat you, how they treat others, their philosophy on life - to see if this is a safe person to get close to and *only then* give your attraction some space to grow. I'm thankful and happy to be in a healthy relationship now, but it really took some doozies for me to realize I needed to slow down and really get to know someone's character before I could let myself give feelings of attraction any level of influence at all on my choices with that person.

I feel like we are the right people for each other, but because we were born in different times, we will never be able to build a life together. I don't know, it's still a confusing feeling for me, anyway, I felt like venting this here in this very welcoming community 😌

@@C_98. i think the age gap isn't the issue here. Somehow you both do not dare to give in to your feelings because somehow you think of eachother that it feels wrong. Giving in, or starting to talk, will clear the air. Just tell her you like her more than average. She won;t kill or attack you. At most she will blush but i hope she tells you the same thing....

The way imma describe it is like a gut punch. It feels like for a second you got dunked in ice water and stopped breathing from shock. I think part of it is the realisation of someone else's interest in you. :)

😅Hsp...Sensitive. Feel Exposed. 😳 The difference between Nervousness and Excitement seems so fluent. First was Not interested in that Soul at all, but somehow felt relaxed and after many months of slow Growth the Connection changed. Never thought that I might Wish this Person to BE my Partner 4 Life. Never ever felt so relaxed with a human before, plus I can say "That one never got in my Nerves" Like with Most people, after some hours, I was Like "Enough for now". U know? Plus Not good at flirting, but Like giving compliments. Most was confusing, Like later that Odd Feelings never felt before, I thought IT was anxiety, coz the Body felt Odd, but IT was more Excitement. That Feeling quite Confusion, coz New to me. Never felt that way before, so I did Not know what IT was. WHO Else was confused? 😅🥴😆

Yes--the first time I [originally] saw my ex-boyfriend---someone I nearly and should have married---the sexual tension nearly knocked me off my feet. It was instant---later I found out it was the same way for him too. (Instant lust?) It was nearly 45 years ago and I remember (and feel) like it was yesterday. We didn't even speak that day, but began dating several weeks later. Sadly things didn't work out long term, but I'd give about anything to be able to go back and try it again. ❤❤❤

😮I felt a strong sexual atraction with a recent date, and the person felt the exact same, we realy had a lot in common, but I told the person I wasn't prepared to move on cuz I needed my single time ( I had a recent break up too).

i literally have all of this signs with my classmate. We literally can’t have a conversation without touching each other in the end. He always hugs me and find excuses to make physical contact. Still when we are alone, i don’t know what to say to him, and i think the same goes for him.

@chaneljen7783 Жыл бұрын
@@bunch3008 no really the same goes for me. He’s a really really good looking dude, and a known player. I knew that nothing serious could ever happen between us. Idk if you care, but i’ll give you an uptade anyways. We went on a school trip together and ended up kissing both when we were drunk and sober, he even asked me to follow him into his room but i refused. After that we both knew we were more than friends, we basically snuck out of school al the time in order to spend time together and kiss for a bit. After school ended however, i made it clear that i would not do anything sexual with him bc i didn’t trust him enough (i knew he had plenty of other girls) so he just disappeared. I’m a lil heartbroken but i already knew that this was how it was supposed to end, so i guess it is what it is

Here is a funny experience regarding attraction,(at an Indian wedding). It's my friend’s wedding. Dj plays my favorite song. Friends try to pull, but I hardly move. “I will look stupid,” I reply. They leave. Dj plays another song. This time enters a middle-aged, half-bald uncle. His sweat perfume forces others to make a way. He smiles, he boozes, and he dances. Following the footsteps of Salman, he even crushes a few. Yet, the weight of his family pack dare not crush his spirit. He looks vulnerable, yet elegant. They laugh, and he dances. He is tired, but his spirit is not. In a bucket full of perfectionists, his imperfect moves sprinkle enough confidence, which rinses all my insecurities. This carefree nature makes him attractive, instantly! “Jhakas!” I shout and join in. [Superb!] He crushes me too! (-_-

We literally tease eachother constantly, are comfortable with eachother, have known eachother for over 8 years now, always have flirty moments, share eye contact and physical touch and always give eachother attention even if it's just subtle, but we've shared this connection since we were kids and never got further. It's weird bc I feel like there's definitely a vibe and the fact that he never made any type of romantic connection with someone, kind of assures the theory that he's just shy,but idkkk. We know eachother really well and there are really few people that know him as good as I do (mainly boys and I'm pretty much the only girl that he let close enough). But I'm so confused and scared that I may just see what I want to believe and there's just another platonic relationship between two genuinely flirty people. Why does this need to be so confusinnngggg😮💨

Approach him if you can. Me and my crush are both stuck in the exact same dilemma cause we are both psychoanalysing the soul out of each other and giving each other obvious signs (no one else seems to notice these) but we are both too scared to talk. I’d feel so relieved if he just got over it and talked to me because OH HELL NAW I’m NOT approaching him. Nothing on earth could make me… so best advice is you should probably approach him directly or look him in the eyes and make a bold introduction. Maybe say something like “hey can I talk to you for a second”? I don’t have any experience …but I have an imagination
