At 78, I only now really see the power of demographics as we go through the various stages of life. Each stage, or demographic, has its own energy and consciousness that everyone in it experiences, and each has stereotypes attached to it, social norms so to speak. You can't escape these boxes.

Maybe we have the time to look at matters more leisurely and conclusions we come to are not pressured to fit “norms” or expectations. I have had cause to look at how nature works and find that increasingly as we endeavour to step away from nature, nature insists that whatever outcomes we achieve in that regard will be on natures terms. Just as cancers are ultimately suicidal, they kill the host they depend upon because although cancer can be said to be a natural phenomenon it occurs in an unnatural way and I have to wonder if the accident of evolution that gave us the imagination to do what we do if we might not be a cancer and are in the process of killing our host, the planet.

I find it's plusses and minuses. Using a walking frame turns many people helpful but the for the ladies it's a turnoff.
