My significant other is great at mastering his emotions. Sometimes he would do something negative reminiscent of what I may have gone through in a previous relationship and I would overreact. He would never engage, he stayed calm and would hear me out and if it was something he thought deserved an apology he would apologize. But what I found was so beneficial in his reaction, was it allowed ME TO HEAR AND SEE how emotional I was being and I was able to calm down and talk to him about how I was feeling, even now when I get upset I mirror him and we are able to handle out disagreements respectfully.

My late husband would let me get emotional and hear me out, console me assure me that he understood what i was feeling in that moment. But he would promise me that we talk about it when i had calmed down. Two or three days later he would sit me down and explain to me his perspective view of the situation and in most cases i would see logic in where he was coming from and i used to feel embarassed and i would apologise. I learnt a lot from this.

Ironic, mine called the fifth point "talking to you is like walking on egg-shell. You're too emotionally unstable. There's nothing wrong with me, it's you." When in truth, I was assertively addressing him why I felt hurt when he's emotional-cheating on me with other women. I just gave up after a while because I didn't feel heard the first three times. Just turned into a lot of resentment towards him.

My ex did not stand in his masculine energy, he didn’t want to listen , he made me feel worst then I already did and he would say mean things. He always said I had masculine energy! Every time I got emotional the issue I had wouldn’t be recognized but we would have extra issues and whatever I was emotional about would be forgotten and I would remain emotional and become even worst. Sometimes I felt like I was arguing with a woman. Afterwards I felt a pain I couldn’t understand, I was confused. I love a man with calm masculine energy, it really helps me feel secure and safe and less emotional. I am a very emotional person. I cry when I'm mad, upset etc. I got out of a very toxic abusive relationship. Physically, emotionally, verbally, and mentally. When I'd start crying during him accusing me of doing something I didn't, he said why are you crying if you didn't do it. That it makes me look guilty. So now in my current relationship I am quick to explain myself or defend myself even though there's no need to. I go into defense mode because I'm so used to it. When a man raises their voice at me , it usually upsets me to the point I cry. My boyfriend trys his hardest to understand how I am emotionally, it is just hard sometimes.

Some Women can be so manipulative at times, and using these so called emotions. A woman who uses her Brain, instead of yelling and screaming is far better and honest. A woman who is calm, and intelligent with her emotions is far more loving 🥰 and genuine and caring. And she actually knows this. I’m a woman, so this is from a woman’s point of view. A woman who talks to God, will be calm and loving 🥰 with her emotions

Not true. You can’t speak for all women. You don’t have the same Hormones and wiring and past as every other woman. So no not all women of God are calm. And it’s not that you’re not intelligent nor loving or genuine if you’re not calm. That’s ridiculous to say😂 you won’t find a more Devoted person to God than me. But my emotions can’t just be handled, same with 99% of women whom has some sort of ptsd, trauma, bad upbringing, bad past relationships. You can be born again and still have triggers. You can be in situations that triggers your fight or flight. You can have pms hormones raging and not a thing to do about you’re not close to God or anything else. So you are not speaking from a woman’s point of view but simply, your own. Thank you. I know plenty God fearing woman who are the best loving most genuine women. And I know many calm women who are snakes. So puh-lease don’t make men think that is true. The most manipulative and malicious women aren’t loud. They are the most quiet people in fact.

Great video. Lead by example is always key, remain calm, and establish a foundation of open communication. Agree, that women are usually wired emotionally and they are also really great at expressing their feelings. A man who loves his woman learns to listen with his heart and open his eyes to feel her spirit. Looking beyond the surface always unveils the depth of the issue and the root cause. Productive, consistent communication when calm is key and allows both individuals to learn each other at their core. Prayer is key and healing is essential. When you master your emotions, you master your life. Thank you for the video, be blessed.

I wish in the decades of therapy I've done, the therapists taught me about this stuff (or what healthy relationships look like it really anything at all). I learned it from books. Much of it parenting books. Anyway, very good advice. I like how you talk about your faith but you're not pushy about it. I'm not really religious but I got no problem with other people's beliefs and learning about them. Another point, if you have kids, modeling this behavior for them will teach them to be healthier and not fall for abusive people. it will teach your daughters to respect themselves enough to not fall for abusive men and teach your sons not to be abusive. Even do this for them. I do this for my daughter. In parenting it's called coregulation. We need you hear in three Bay Area to speak to these young men. They need a push in this direction.

Ugh!! It’s very frustrating because I’ve had my moments where I’d have an emotional outburst and that turns into an argument. He’d call me emotionally immature so I self reflected and started working on effectively listening and better communication (I’ve been in therapy) And when would implement it during future arguments I start to realize I wasn’t the only problem. Almost all of our arguments were “my fault” because I “always complain, am never satisfied, try to be controlling”. But watching this makes me realize another factor. Almost always would he get super defensive before I could even try to explain what I’m feeling. And if it made no sense to him he would disregard it. We’d still argue. Then we would “make up” but never address the problem. So it made it really hard for me to try to express my emotions so I could keep the peace because I associated expressing my feelings with arguments and breaking up. But in the meantime I was suppressing so many emotions and they would be triggered by certain things he did or said. We would argue again and it became a continuous cycle. All I was looking for what understanding, acknowledgement and accountability. I just wanted us to create a safe space for each other where could openly express our emotions without fear of conflict; where I could feel emotionally safe with him. Often times I felt accepted when I’m “good” but pushed away when im not. So I started to suppress my feelings more and developed feelings of ambivalence and resentment. So we’re broken up now (probably a blessing) because to him I seem ungrateful because he’s bought me things and spent time with me and I’m never satisfied. And though all of that is great, I just wanted to feel emotionally safe.

When I want to discuss what's at hand, he calls me English (implying am a westernized black woman, he's African by the way). He was shivirous at first but not anymore. Few days ago, I asked why he didn't kiss or hugg me,he said it's because he doesn't want to hurt me as I just had surgery a week ago. Okay I understand if he says let's hold out on sex, but am I really asking too much? No huggs no kisses. This is a man that was very reluctant to bring me something I needed in the hospital. Saying he's tired from working the night before even though he went to the gym right after work as he usually does and went right home. When I sensed the hezitance, I said don't worry I will bear the pain till the doctors come. He's just never intentional about doing things with me and he expects me to be there and be his girlfriend.🤦 Please let me know if am currently asking for too much ladies/gentlemen/Stephan. Your guy/significant other, refuses to come see you in hospital, when you get discharged he comes to visit you empty handed, he gives you a lift to pick up food that you ordered and paid for that he will partake from. But won't do the things he did to get with you in the first place. To me, he's basically showing me am not needed full stop.

Great video… not many masculine empathetic understanding men that take responsibility for what they do to trigger us… then the very thing they love about is the very things they hate in the moment how stupid they don’t see how much better the intimacy gets after him giving space to discuss what made us “feel” this way. We are in a monthly cycle with ever changing menstrual demands and our responsibilities on our shoulders … a man that doesn’t get this is undeserving of a true queen that’s willing to have their backs…but they don’t have ours

Your period and your responsibilities don't give you a license to act like you don't have hometraining or to behave like a child.

"Can you withstand my storm" one of the most important questions to ask before dating a guy ...dont think they understood what it means...when choosing a life partner we have to choose wisely ..How are they going to handle being triggered when my Hormones are up on the roof, will they stay and be a "Tornado" or will they walk away and come back when all is calm and talk about it ...Attraction is the easiest part but can you stand with a Musculine Energy (King) and Lead as a Man God Created you to Be ....if you cant handle a situation know what happens when kids come in ...You have to be a King of your Castle 👑

Really love the way you appeal to and challenge the perception of masculine strength... what that means, and how it impacts a relationship. And love the emphasis on communication and perception. Another great message, thank you so much for sharing!

I'm not listening to illogical, irrational, emotionalism from a woman!! I will dismiss any and all women and or men that aren't calm, cool and collected!! She needs to get away from me, my brother!! I'm staying masculine and strong by not tolerating such mess by a woman!!

Wow! Stephan Speaks this is good. Every 9pts of emotional woman 👠 . Thank you taking this video to use working on myself. Be more calm, 🆒 collect on to the Man 👞 9pts of emotional Man. As of women be more understanding, listen 👂 to the man 👞 but don't get caught up in the man emotional either. She have to say to herself this her Man, not get emotional attach in his situation. Listen, to it moment calm loving God matters of heart thru his trouble times. Still ladies attend you praying for your Man that the uplifting moment of a emotional Man 👞. Same in visa versa with a us emotional woman 👠. U want our Man of God to pray for our trouble emotional woman 9pts like Stephan Speak 🗣️ say. This was good advice.

All Good Points, I've Tried To Tell Some Men Some Of The Things That U Mentioned .... A Person Needs To Get Heal Before An Commitment First Where Things Wont Get Worse. Now, My Question Is What If A Person Trying To Get Healed By Seeking Mental Health And Crying Out n Prayer For Healing An A Change n Their Life And It Seems Like Nothing Is Happening .... What's Next ?

I wish my x could had understood this . I was in a relationship for 4-5 years and i dealt with excuses all the time to why he would go talk to girls. It never counted when we would be arguing he would turn off his phone and go do his own thing and like a dummy I would take him back . When I would talk it about it would make him pissed off. At the end it make me crazy I felt like I was losing my mind and he would call me crazy and tel me to get over it. Our last argument he was laughing at me and telling my son I was an idiot and started to insult my son and I finally left and he’s on to the next.

So why are you still dating her? (Unless, ofc, you want to be in a relationship with a child...)
