it was a 4th gear pull. hes accelerating so hard the speedo actually reads 120 on the last pull. there was still another gear which would end somewhere around 170-180 depending on how hard the car would be redlined and how tall his tires are

@diggabledork11 жыл бұрын
I admit that it is absolutely possible. And so is cornering so hard that your oil pressure is insufficient for lubricating the engine, but given the way his oil temperature gauge is increasing inversely, I think OP is right. Burn lots of fuel, make lots of power, make engine reaaally hot.
@diggabledork11 жыл бұрын
Such a great observation. Declining fuel level is very visible in the up-close dash cam footage of those pulls, see time 1:21. Also worth mentioning that you can see the temperature gauge climbing as well! It isn't the best for the environment to burn so many hydrocarbons so fast, but it's sure-as-hell fun! Seriously though, the real problem is that we keep breeding. We certainly can't all live like Americans if we want to have 8+ billion people in the world... maybe 3-4 billion with less stuff.

@MechRider8910 жыл бұрын
he probably has around the 6-7k into engine and bolts ons + tuning software.
@MikeB197210 жыл бұрын
That's less than it would cost to do a fully forged engine with turbo and tuning software etc. for my truck... Impressive is all I can say... Lol
@MechRider8910 жыл бұрын
It is, that's why its such a popular platform, merely a 2 door EVO. People bash them so much but DSM's really haven't earned the hate, lots of people don't do proper maintenance. Stock bottom ends will hold 500+ hp lots of guys dd 500AWHP cars with stock bottom ends and never have a break down. But in the long run depending what model you have (v6 or v8?) you may pay more but I'm willing to bet it'll take a good amount of horse power/torque. Either way there's no arguing v8's are far more capable.
@MikeB197210 жыл бұрын
I completely agree! And my truck is a 1999 Dodge Dakota R/T. Its got the 5.9 magnum V8 and they just seem to, well.... Refuse to make decent power... Lol it'd probably cost 6-10k depending on what parts were used to make the engine handle the boost and to get the turbo... But they are very reliable when built right and can make good power! But it is still in a truck that weighs anywhere from 3800-4000+- lbs and that doesn't really help it much lol. I love my truck but I'm not one, any more at least, to say a 4 banger or V6 can't be faster than my V8 like a lot of people. But I do agree, a V8 can make a lot more power than any L4 or V6 because they can have more power distributed between each cylinder. They can make 10,000 hp! Lol I think L4's and V6's shine the most at the lower hp levels because they can do more with it and they can beat up on stock cars. Anyways enough morning ranting... As usual... Lol I'm just impressed with a tiny little 4 cylinder making so much hp and still a decent amount of torque! An LS is a much better display of how much power a V8 can make for cheap than my trucks motor... Lol
@MechRider8910 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you. The LS series well its just the best really....but with the new coyote from ford I think before long Chevy will have some serious competition. I think inline 6's are a good compromise between 4 cylinders and 8 cylinders. I think they're just perfect for practicality/hp on the street. I'm un able to decide what I want to swap into the Fox body stang I just picked up, LS1 is soooo tempting but I have like 3 4g63t's sitting in my garage waiting to go into something haha

look at his build list…. thats how, high comp pistons, monster 6266 turbo@ 36psi, cams. thatll do it
@AlwaysStuntin61212 жыл бұрын
i dont think you need any dowforce unless your going like 200+mph, but for fwd i can see where it would make sense. most nice dsm's ive seen over the years have suspension/brake upgrades. but most people focus on power first. either way you do it, if you upgrade something you have to upgrade something else. yet again theres hardly any dsm's compared to honda and all the other cars, and most of them have been beaten over the years and are p.o.s in a way.

Hi there, so you are using wiseco HD 10.5:1 compression pistons I have the same pistons but I have trouble getting e85. do you think I can use this with 91oct with out doing crazy on the boost maybe 10-15 psi? also are this pistons good for gasoline or they need to be use only with e85?
@PaPWPW10 жыл бұрын
Are you gonna risk hundreds of dollars on 91 octane? Get a meth-water injection kit before that, not worth blowing your engine.
