Beth, thank you for your videos. I have been trying to help a loved one for years. A lot of what you describe is accurate. This person has tried many fad diets and even taken medication to suppress hunger. Over the past two years we have figured out how to eat flexibly with some success and some setbacks. Life has gotten in the way. I told this person to just focus on what can be done. Attitudes have changed and now finally the fear exercising is going. Lack of activity has been the hardest challenge and seems to be changing.

Your chanel is just the best. I was starting to feel like I was the only one who just loved (and needed) working out, without any want or related concern regarding the way my body look or should look or whatever people are always on about. It's so freeing. A few years back, I use to feel like there were some sports I just couldn't do because I wasn't thin enough and people would have laughed at me. People still talk but I don't care anymore and honestly, when I don't back down, after a while, most of them shut up. Thanks for sharing this message and wishing you the best.

Yes! Something sustainable and common sense-like won’t be a TikTok trend. I mean… I take walks multiple times a week but how sexy is that 😂😂 while walking is an excellent form of exercise for multiple muscle groups!

so true, 75 day hard is soooooo dumb, i train 2-3 times a week 60-90 mins and can do 10kg pull ups, handstands, training for a muscle up etc. I say this to show you dont need to work out loads to be strong and gain new skills and i started 3 years ago only. im self taught too, i just started playing on calisthenics bars during the pandemic as i couldnt carry my shopping home as i was too weak and now im much stronger.

1 - All or nothing mentality that doesn't fit current lifrstyle and doesn't allow moderation. 2 - unrealistic expectations, causing disappointment and frustration. 3 - misguidance from social media trends. 4 - restrictive fad diets that can lead to disordered eating. 5 - life happens and people don't plan for it (set a bare minimum week!). 6 - comparison with others, especially on social media. 7 - reliance on motivation instead starting with action to feel motivated. 8 - unenjoyable exercise routines.
