Hey Chris! Volcanogenic massive sulfide ore is different than your regular free mill gold in quartz or native gold in gangue, crush and pan method won't liberate your valuable minerals from the sulfide minerals. You would need something like heap leaching or froth flotation. As for the XRF we don't own the xrf so we can't show the process really. Kelly who owns 50% partnership in this tenure has one and does all our XRF analysis for us. Currently he's away mining one of his bonanza grade deposits but maybe we can get him on board for a show and tell when he's back on some of the ore. Best I could do is tell the results here or if you have an email I could send a few pictures so you have an idea of what VMS ore is capable of. Cheers, Justin-911

We don't have much copper but there is someoff to the side of the vein. The vein messures about 8 1/2 feet wide. We have taken a couple 12 yard dump trucks to trail,B.C. for smelting, We have another ne ot too many miles away we call "Gold City" that looked very promksing but the gold ended up radioactive.

Wow, 5 to 10 ounces per ton and 8% zinc. And you are using an XRF now, good.

5-10oz generally what we get with an XRF in reality its probably less because an XRF does only a 1/2" window of the sample so a better representation is crushing it's down to a fine powder and doing an XRF. We did three at this and they all rang in with 3g/ton of each other. (5.6oz). Even at 2oz/ton this deposit would be high grade.

I wish you had a pocket microscope to get more detail of what you found. It is not that clear, and what are the other elements in the Host rock. I have an area of schist that the top soil came back 4 g gold per ton. I smelted out a bead of silver a little smaller than a BB of silver in 300 grams of dirt. I have quartz, hematite, Graphite 75% of rocks, in a red clay soil. I find Quartz with metal veins that have traces of Platinum group metals according to a XFT made for jewelry testing. I have smelted out Iridium the heaviest Platinum group mental twice. Where in these soils would you think to find the PM's concentrated in?

When you say "mineralization" do you mean just a general showing of (chalco) pyrite that is known to often carry gold disseminated in it, or are you saying that you can actually see gold in the little sample in your hand. The rock samples you show usually go by too fast to see what you're talking about and the only gold i ever see is in the pans -but if i'm seeing big pickers in the pans where are they in the rocks?

mineralization is the deposition of metals in the formation of rock, ore bodies by various process.For example, the proscess of mineralization may introduce metals such as iron, gold, copper into a rock. Most gold you see in rocks is so fine even at high grades. A recent deposit we have with several ounces per ton is only visible at 200x magnification. It's harder to see if it's not just gold in rock other forms of mineral may make it hard to see. Nuggets aren't very common and most of the time they arnt that size when it leave the rock. Nuggets can actually get hammered so hard by a river and because it's so malleable it can join with other peices.
