As far as I know no one has ever been punished just for this. It has been used on people who already had drug/gang or other violent charges. There are some who also say the wording doesn't apply to the end consumer. I just am saying what the ATF told me. It's up to you guys what you wanna do with the info

@@thegungoober Yes, it seems unless you are arrested for something else nobody is going to know if you're AK is 922r compliant or not. The ATF can't just ask to examine your AK.

@@bertroost1675 even if they do examine it, its almost impossible to conclusively determine where a part is from. There are so many parts that the companies themselves make in the US. Not to mention the huge cottage industry for aftermarket parts in the US that copy exactly the look and feel of the foreign parts. So basically not only would you have to be on their radar in the first place, you would also have to admit to them the parts you had on there were not made in the US.
