Yoongi is a professional, so if we are talking about his work he is aware of every detail and he contributes a lot to his own performances: for example, with Seesaw it was his idea to make more an idol-like performance. The same goes for MVs: for example, the whole concept, the setting, props for Daechwita - all was his idea. He maybe lets others take the lead in bts ot7 songs, because he works in a team, but if we are talking about solely his music then he is always in charge

About Jin rap Nevermind. This is from Muster (fan meeting concert for Army). Every member made project with their roommate. - Jin and Suga are roommate at that time, they switch their songs. I agree, Suga does really have a sweet smile. Also, you should definitely listen to Butterfly. It one of my favorite songs by them. There is technically three versions of it on Spotify but you can just listen to the original if you want. My favorite is the Prologue mix, though it’s a bit sad that they cut out the raps in that version.

I love the part he mentions his hard days in Daegu. "And only being a bit more madure for my age from the underground workplace in Nam San Dong, my beat has been laid out until Apgujeong, the origin of youth everyone said it, don´t go overboard if you act as if you´re a know-it-all and will be making music, you will make your home go broke". and Never mind live performance is amazing. Yoongi talked about Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life in his album review: «I had a lot of worries. And I had an abundance of thoughts too... In my teens. And even now, when I'm in my early twenties. I just really wanted to write the emotions I felt back then. I used a beat that reminiscent of the feeling of dribbling a ball on a basketball court. And the drum samples that appear on it are also beats made by using the sound of a basketball as a sample. If you look at lyrics: The rim looks farther away today My sighs well up on the court A boy who’s afraid of the reality His heart is at peace only when he’s throwing the ball I honestly had thoughts like this. If I, first off, said that I'm doing music then people would start by worrying. "It won't work", "You'll cause your family to go bankrupt if you keep doing music" - I heard things like this countless times. Since my first year of middle school? While listening to these statements... Worries just keep stacking up. The lyrics that I like the most are What am I doing with my life This moment will never ever come back I ask myself once again, “are you happy now?” The answer is already set, “I’m happy” I really like this track because all the lyrics are like this but my story... The lyrics are lyrics that revealed my story and the last of my teen years, I was reminded about that time a lot while writing the lyrics» And about Never Mind he once said that it is probably the words he wanted to say to himself

I honestly love Nevermind so much. It's a song that gives me goosebumps. I was listening to it in the shower the other day and was literally tearing up. And it always feels so surreal when Jhope and Rm's voices appear so unexpectedly on the track. The two songs may feel similar to you since they're both intro's to parts one and two of the hyyh albums. Note all the flowers and butterfly references as they have a lot to do with the themes of those two albums and the Youth trilogy as a whole. Hyyh or hwa yang yeon hwa is translated as the The Most Beautiful Moment in Life but the literal translation is 'The Time when Flowers Bloom' so a lot of the songs and visuals make reference to flowers blooming, wilting, drying out. And of course who better to introduce the albums about youth than Suga? He has some very cool quotes about being young forever once you keep following your dreams. Also Jimin has got 'Nevermind' tattooed on his body. This era and Suga's lyrics in the intros seem to mean a lot to all of the boys. The youth trilogy had a lot of the vocalists' first writing and composing credits and also has RM's first production credit for the band if I'm not wrong. This was BTS when they suddenly became a lot bigger and thought they'd reached their peak. I wasn't an ARMY for the entire era but it was around the release of the third part of the trilogy, the 'Young Forever' album which combines hyyh parts 1 an 2 with some extra songs and versions of songs, that I found them. Another note, whenever I listen to The Last when Suga mentions how he says "I don't give a sh*it, I don't give a f***' to hide his week self, NeverMind is the song that comes to mind because it's the only one I know for sure he says it in. And it's interesting that his Agust D mixtape came out not too long after Young Forever.

Thanks for reacting to my favorite SUGA song 'The Most Beautiful Moment in Life". The iconic "crash" lyrics and "Bultaorenue" are the two most associated with SUGA. Out of all the members, he has had to overcome and deal with the most personal issues (recounted in his first Agust D mixtape), so that, in addition with coping/dealing with the group's adversity, was a double whammy. He was lucky in that Bang Si-hyuk, BTS and eventually his family were able to support him emotionally so he could bring himself to where he is now. He himself said he's contented (I'm not talking about what happened this weekend) and continues to help the group grow/develop into the future. His presence is crucial and stabilizing in different ways for each member - they missed him so much when he was recuperating and are so happy he's back.

I would like to complete your knowledge on these 2 tracks which will allow you to better understand the rest. “Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment In Life” is the first track off BTS' 2015 mini album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment In Life Pt 1’ as well as BTS' 2016 japanese album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment In Life: Young Forever’. A solo track from member Suga, it sets the tone for the rest of the album with its themes of the existential fears that accompany youth in the contemporary era. The struggle to realize one’s passions is a subject he’s approached multiple times throughout his career, most notably through his mixtape, Agust D. Songs like “So Far Away” and “The Last” mirror (and elaborate further on the consequences of) the kind of anxiety-fuelled angst about the future Suga mentions in this track. Here the explanations of some lyrics: A BOY WHO'S AFRAID OF REALITY IS AT PEACE ONLY WHEN HE IS ALONE THROWS THE BALL Actually, Suga’s stage came from the word ‘shooting guard’; (슈팅 가드) which it’s two first parts create ‘suga’ (슈가). Shooting guard was Yoongi’s position when he played basketball in high school. When suga and BigHit Entertainment’s CEO, Bang Si Hyuk thought about his stage name, this idea came up and suga liked it because of the connection to this position he played. Long story short, what i wanted to say is that these lyrics might be about suga himself- it all calms down when he plays baketball, and that’s the deep connection to his stage name. I FOLLOW MY HAND MOVEMENT, THE SMALL BALL BOUNCES OFF MY FOOT MY GRADES CRAWL ON THE GROUND, BUT I RATHER SHOUT THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT WITH AN EMPTY VOICE Yoongi taking his chance and shooting the basketball is a metaphor for the chances he took chasing after his dreams. As stated in the lines below, the ball is his future. As the ball drops to his feet after missing the basket, Yoongi faces the reality that the path to accomplishing his dreams will be ridden with failures and hardships. He can succeed through his consistent perseverance and passion and he makes sure that people know this, however, that doesn’t stop him from fearing for his future and worrying about failure. :(( MY LAUGHTER SPREADS AS I THROW THE BALL The ball is a metaphor for his future, hopes and dreams. He missed the basket, made a mistake, and now people are making fun of him. WITH OTHERS RUNNING AHEAD, WHY AM I STILL HERE? He is most likely talking about how slow their fame grew. When the album was being written, they did not have that many fans. Suga most likely felt discouraged because other idol groups were more successful then he appeared to be at that moment. He probably felt stuck, unable to move forward and pursue his dream. BLINDLY TRAP YOURSELF IN THIN JUDGEMENT The judgments and hate that are being aimed at him, are “thin”. This is what you need to know about "Nevermind". Written by BTS’s very own lead Rapper, Min Yoongi, or better known as SUGA. Suga is the lead rapper for BTS, Nevermind was released on November 17, 2015. It is also the intro for “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt.2” album. A rap oriented song with a backing piano track, it advocates for us to embracing our ways-Live the way you want, not the way others want. “Nevermind”, the abbreviated title of this song also became a phrase of deep meaning for the boy group BTS, often included as words in the background of their later music videos and VCRs at award shows. It is also rumored that Jimin, the group’s main dancer has tattooed this word into his chest, as corresponding to the lyrics, “It’s not easy but engrave it onto your chest.” THEY SAY TEENAGE YEARS MESS YOU UP In addition to being the developing years, being a teenager introduces numerous obstacles. It’s difficult enough discovering the world and finding your own place in it, but even more so when your every action and every word is dissected and ridiculed. Teenagers are under heavy scrutiny, and Yoongi simply points this out. He expresses how the teenage years are bound to damage an individual when most overlook the amount of stress on the younger generation. It’s become conditioned into the younger generation that this is normal. As David Bowie says, in his song “Changes,” the younger generation doesn’t need to be ridiculed in order to understand their world: “And these children that you spit on As they try to change their worlds Are immune to your consultations They’re quite aware of what they’re goin' through” FROM THE UNDERGROUND WORKPLACE IN NAMSANDONG Before becoming a trainee and debuting with BTS, Suga, along with RM, was an underground rapper. YOU WILL MAKE YOUR HOME GO BROKE Suga grew up in a low-class household. There was barely any money to pay the rent. Suga decided to follow his passion in music, and started underground rapping. He often had to choose between getting a bus ticket home and having dinner. His parents were not supportive of his music career, because they thought he may never succeed. In this, Suga mentions that all of the adults in his life were trying to convince him to give up his music and work another job so he could support his family. DOES IT SEEM LIKE MY HOME IS GOING BROKE, YOU BASTARDS? Many people warned Min Yoongi about what to do/what not to do. They told him not to act over smart, or else he will have a failed career. But he didn’t care. He took a leap of faith. He worked hard. He didn’t follow the path he was originally told to take. He made his own rules and followed them. Now, he’s successful. He didn’t fail. He’s triumphant in his attempt, and he did it his way. He is expressing through his lyrics that you don’t always have to follow others. You don’t have to believe everything someone says to you. Letting someone lead your life isn’t okay. Neither is following them for your entire life. Set your own rules. Play your own game. Be who you want to be, not what you’re meant to be. IT’S NOT EASY BUT ENGRAVE IT ONTO YOUR CHEST Yoongi’s intention with this line is to express the idea that although we as humans can be extremely vulnerable psychologically to dwelling on our mistakes and struggles we have undertaken in the past, we must make the promise to ourselves to carry on and say ‘Nevermind’ . Following the theme of Youth in the HYYH (花樣年華) albums, he also implies the fact that rather than forgetting these mistakes entirely, we must learn from them - ‘engrave them on your chest’ as a reminder for these mistakes made when we’re young make up who we were in the past, who we are, and who we hope to become (As stated in Namjoon’s UN speech - 2018). As an example; In the last few months, Jimin has been seen to have a tattoo of the word “Nevermind”. In relation to this lyric in particular, the tattoo is ‘engraved’ in his chest region. Jimin has expressed his difficulties and struggles he has undertaken in his past, but was able to overcome them to a vast extent, especially with the help of his fellow members and personal growth. His path to self-love and self-worth was tough but truly inspiring. He chose to take the meaning behind the verse “It’s not easy, but engrave it onto your chest” quite literally. IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU’RE GOING TO CRASH THEN ACCELERATE MORE, YOU IDIOT When growing up, it becomes a conscious decision to either wallow in the past or move forward. This anthemic line, repeated throughout “Intro: Never Mind,” encourages those who are struggling to keep driving themselves forward. Yoongi proclaims the importance of simply pushing on. Don’t stop. Don’t quit. Just keep going. This idea introduces BTS' 花樣年華 era, otherwise known by the acronym HYYH, and it summarizes the era in its entirety. Later in the song Yoongi adds: We’re too young to give up And that concludes the sentiment. Being young and growing up is a never-ending struggle, but that’s what growth is. It’s being able to say never mind to one’s past and move on. It’s being able to let go of one’s mistakes and continue forward. Yoongi also used this line in Moonlight, the first track of his second mixtape D-2. Here it is. This text of Yoongi is beautiful, raw and frank. Many rappers who grew up in poverty choose to adopt another type of text that are more escapes without helping you to see more clearly and face reality while remaining true to oneself. Yoongi is in my opinion part of this lineage of rappers who are poets and thinkers of modern times like Eminem, Wale or Nas who knew how to draw lessons from their journey and transmit them.

Just a point of interest, Jimin has “Nevermind” tattooed on his ribs. It probably reflects their common interest in Nirvana’s eponymous album, which is remarkable given that this music was produced before any of them was born! I believe what appealed was the raw passion of the rock genre, which you also hear in Suga’s rap of this era.

The Most Beautiful Moment in life album was the turning point for BTS. For me, they went from giving homage to their Hip Hop mentors and making it their own. Again, just my opinion but, before this album they were copying the styles and sound of Americans or Western Hip Hop groups or artist and they learned to bring it home to Korea, singing to Korean youths. They still had not got their break through or big win, so it was like chasing a butterfly or the wind trying to reach their dreams. You hear Suga pouring out his heart and that deep yearning. Many songs came after this time like Butterfly, I Need You, Dead Leaves or Autumn Leaves and Save Me. Each member has an era that they shine, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life was RM and Suga's era, for me😂

Jin's performance was from a rehearsal of BTS Festa: Home Party 2017. Festa is like a mini fan meeting of just a small theater of lucky fans to celebrate BTS birthday on June 13th. My fave was 2018's Prom Party bc Jimin and Jungkook did a dance to MJ's songs AND Ddaeng was performed live for the first time after it was released on SoundCloud! Epic! 😍

Bang PD is a very smart CEO of Big Hit for recruiting these 7 self-driven and hardworking young men to form Bulletproof Boyscouts. The company also has the foresight to record their lives since the beginning as trainees, vlogs, dance practices, music productions, interviews, talk shows, variety shows, overseas trips, etc. That's how we get to know and learn about their personalities, struggles and backstage stories.
