Been loving these builds! I need to try this one for sure. Just wondering if you’ve tested switching grim harvest for the slowing dodge fragment and using gamblers dodge to be able to consistently freeze targets every time your dodge is up? That way you can ditch the shard related fragment for rending and chains. Also dusk field might pair better with lucky pants to get a delayed freeze on a large target while you build up damage stacks for that sweet rending boost on the hardest hitting shots.

I haven't tried the dodge fragment, but I will give it a shot. It sounds fun! I have considered swapping out Conduction for Rending even without a fragment change, though. I went Glacier grenade because of the crystals to maintain the grenade boost. Duskfield only gives one, but that's a good point about Rending. I have a lot to go play around with now. :]

Been using this build since the short you made and my god, some of the most fun I've had playing hunter, good stuff! I'm rocking it with the new demo chain reaction forbearance and special ammo finder on my helm for maximum grenade regen

Man, I'm happy to hear that! :] I have been thinking about doing the same thing on my helmet. I make such heavy use of the shotgun that ammo can be a struggle depending on what I'm playing. Forbearance was a good choice as well for the range!

I am VERY biased towards the Arc one when it comes to favoritism lol. But I would say the Strand one is probably the "best" one. It is very consistent and has the smallest learning curve, in my opinion.

This is an awesome build! TLW is my baby and I’m always in the lookout for PvE builds. I wonder what are your thoughts on the recent nerf to Lucky Pants from 600% to 450%? I am trying to figure out how to make up for most of that loss. May need to look into a different damage rotation, but I’d love to know your thoughts on your (hopefully) next Lucky Pants/TLW build. 👍😁

I am not a big fan of the damage nerf to Lucky Pants BUT I really like the other changes. In particular, the ability to use any hand cannon now without having to match elements. I wonder if they did the damage nerf because they worry about unforeseen combinations between elements being too strong and just wanted to be cautious. If I am right, maybe we will prove them wrong and they will revert that one day lol fingers crossed. All of that said, it certainly hasn't stopped me from using them 🤠. As you may have learned from my videos, I am a pretty big fan of rockets with Auto-loading Holster lol so those will likely stay for me. I tend to use a shotgun or trace rifle as my special with these builds but I may start running a sniper to help out with damage. Those are my current thoughts but I haven't played my cowpokes much yet this episode because I've been playing around with some other exotics. But when I do, if boss damage feels bad then sniper will be it for me. If the sniper doesn't make up for it then this may need a deeper look per subclass. Last thing, the next cowpoke will likely be a prismatic build because the first prismatic was all the other builds combined into one. Now, we need a prismatic cowpoke that lives by its own rules :]

@laderienpage1968 I was finally able to put it together last night and do some playtesting. Mine does use combination blow, but it's not really the focus of the build. I took my favorite thing from each of the yeehaws and combined them. That said, I didn't find myself using the melee much and kept wanting to throw stuff instead. I'm going to play with it some more this morning.

@@SatrixPlaysGames it’s a little hard to explain bc of how I set it up, I can list the fragments and aspects tho. Aspects: Whirling maelstrom and Ensnaring Slam Fragments: Thread of Warding, Thread of Transmutation, Thread of Continuity, and Thread of isolation. It basically starts if I hit an enemy with ensnaring slam, after that the massacre of enemies begin. And then I use last word to rapidly build up tangles, then I shoot those tangles. I also have a void hand cannon for more yeehaw effect

hmmm... I am really found of my Mindbender's Ambition. Mostly because of Incandescent. I have a Nessa's Oblation with Destabilizing Rounds and Repulsor Brace that I like. I also like any shotgun that can have Auto-loading Holster or Subsistence.

Made some adjustments to the build, and loving it! Using Chivalric Fire; extra mobility is great, overshield addclear in a grenade cooldown pinch. Plus it almost has the range (and 4 to 5x the damage) of a bow with its heavy attack. With that I switch out for Disruption Break special (might need heavy for endgame shield breaking). Now using prodigal return with blinding grenades, turnabout and disruption break. The overshield helps getting closer to bosses for max damage on Last Word

Last word is the best feeling gun in the game and with lucky pants, out does most kinetics that aren't wardens/Malf. I think it still melts bosses and majors on a phase loop though.

Sure, there are harder hitters you can use if you like, but they lack the appropriate yeehaw energy this build requires. As for the small magazine, we just throw a shuriken, and it reloads all of our weapons. Then we keep blastin'.

I have been made fun of a lot as well by people in the comments after making these. What those folks fail to realize is this is a themed build that still performs just fine. Those are people who only play the meta, which is fine for them but boring to me. To answer your question, using Warden's Law is the best damage output currently with the Lucky Pants but if you like the Last Word and it is working for you then there is no need to switch. I used my cowpoke build in Pantheon and I will be using them for the Legendary campaign in The Final Shape. This build will still work whether you use Malfeasance, The Last Word, or some other hand cannon. I am sorry you were made fun of for having fun.
