Well we're about to find out. I mean a lot of people seem very convinced to this and I understand the argument but we really don't know. He's at the same head coach for 2 and 1/2 decades and has paid him class leading money. So it's hard for us to say for sure how he'll react since we don't have a long sample size of him actually having to do head coaching searches.

As happens in ALL of these reports. They’re always trying to get their own side out thru friends to sway public opinion. He knew he had to take a QB at some point for the future, he knew Jones from O’Brien and more importantly his buddy Saban, and he had the tenth pick in the draft so he took him but it was his decision to do that or move down in the draft and go for the other guy he was reportedly interested in, Davis Mills, and he chose to stay and go for Jones.

Right now Phillips is coaching in the UFL and it has to be his last ride. I think he would prefer a NFL consigliere role in the NFL to finish off his career. We are in a great situation if the Krafts make the correct moves. We have a young franchise QB, money to spend, and a top 4 draft pick. Fire everyone from the old regime, bring new blood, create all the areas this team needs like the analytics department, etc. Bring an offensive mastermind like Ben Johnson and just move forward to the future and get rid of the past.

Bobby Kraft is not a successful businessman. He married into money. His father in law built the packaging business, not Bobby. His promise to make Mayo the next coach shows you his lack of business acumen.

They are screwed with this coach smh. They really messed up with this hire. They are probably afraid. If they fire Mayo, and for good reason. It will be because he's black and it's racism, blah,blah,blah. If they ask Mayo to Tank this weekend and then fire him...SMH...Ryan Clark and the media will have a field day. I would literally give up the first round pick just to get rid of the coach.

Well, to begin with, despite whatever effort they put forth Sunday, they'll still lose. That leaves them at 1 in the draft. Take Travis Hunter. He's a generational talent and is the only player in the draft who's a guaranteed gamechanger.

A lot of the posters here didn't live through the 80s and 90s years and it shows. In 2001 when they won the first SB I was happy that I would get to see one before I died, (I was only 35 years old at the time.) All the BB haters on this board...All the Kraft haters... Who are you people? Are you Jests fans? FFS for 20 years the "incompetent owners and terrible HC" owned the league. SIX SB's. Grow up cupcakes, you can't win every year. Tom Brady isn't strolling in that door. Drake Maye is the future and this coaching staff/front office sucks terribly. I hope the Krafts can them all, but if we uproot the new QB's system too many times we will break him and really set the franchise back. You all need to get used to losing for at least two or three more years, or take up knitting. It's less stressful I hear.

I get it, but WHY throw away a once feared franchise, that took decades to build success, only to be reduced to dog poo for another 2 decades with a shit coach and players? Vrabel, will stop the bleeding and sinking, by re-establishing Patriot pride, professionalism and discipline. What BB taught Vrabel to do. Vrabel, has coach of the year under his belt and in the Patriot hall of fame as a great player.
@austinbelanger1607

@@wolfkingsigma2795 I'm not saying to throw it away, I'm saying to have some perspective. Every team has ups and downs. We don't want to be the Jests. We need to can this crew, find a competent crew and stick with the program or we'll ruin this new kid QB and be in the top ten draft picks for a decade.

Totally disagree with Felger on the tanking. It’s one thing to tank all season. That, I would agree, is a loser franchise move. Now that the Patriots are in this position with only one game to go, they absolutely have to lose no questions asked. Winning this meaningless game will cost them multiple first round picks and would be plainly stupid.

Mayo has created a culture, we heard it from Tavai and Wise yesterday. Nothing is their fault and no one should say anything bad about them because they're better than you. Mayo is the most arrogant person in Foxboro since Bill, except BB had a history and resume. Mayo is Daddy's favorite.

This is 100% at the feet of the Kraft’s. 1) they are the cheapest owners in the sport 2) Mayo has been the heir apparent for 5 years. How is he so woefully unprepared for this? 3) they gave mayo, a three or four win roster and he’s gonna win three or four games

Difference between drake and Daniels is Jaden has time to take a freaking nap behind the line. They put in front of their rookie quarterback and they have weapons for him. The patriots didn’t do any of that for Drake it’s amazing the stuff Drake was able to do.

I agree with pumping the brakes on Vrabel and do our best to find the right coach. While Vrabel seems like a good option, Iets remember he was 6-18 in his last 24 games also with a team that was undisciplined, ranking 28th in penalties for 2 years. I'm not saying that Vrabel isn't an option. I'm just saying we should look at every option this time around.
