Tip for the Lament: the best combo for CONSISTENT damage output is, assuming you have Lucent Blades: 2 Revved Light Attacks into 1 Revved Heavy Attack, then 2 Normal Light Attacks, and repeat the cycle. Also, huge congrats on the sponsor!

@@timeloss7.5 true, especially while I was soloing Ecthar. Was doing 2-1-2 and half way through dmg phase my charge rate wasnt keeping up and messing up my combo - realized at the end I totally forgot to put Lucent Blades back on my chest.

This works better with Stasis IMO. It's very clunky with a sword trying to his suspended targets and interacting/shooting tangles to get Woven Mail. Woven Mail spam is better with the leg exotic to auto proc. With Stasis you can just drop a glacier and get an immediate 40% damage reduction as well as temporarily stopping the aggro targets while you get a sword hit.

I agree that it feels better with Stasis. It was hard to decide which subclass to use for this, but I ended up going with Strand for more DR.

Love your vids, but as soon as I saw Stronghold and swords I know I'm not using this until that upcoming sword update. I'm not capping my framerate or rolling a 50/50 on whether the sword's gonna hit. I've tried Behemoth + Lament before and it just felt terrible. Still gonna make notes for whenever that sword update happens.

Yes, currently it gives restoration regardless of whether you've blocked. If they fix it to be in line with the description it won't change much if anything about the build

Ooh, I really like this build. I was trying out a similar mod setup and trying to pick my favorite subclass for the remade Stronghold. I'm a little surprised you didn't give love to Vortex swords. Falling Guillotine is the classic, but the new seasonal Strand sword can get Unrelenting (or an ammo perk) and Chain Reaction on top of reduced Harmonic mod costs. Obviously it loses boss damage, but the increased room clearing and survivability seemed useful for a sword focused build.

@@jlgviolin for medium difficulty solo activities like legend lost sector almost any sword is amazing especially with energy transfer for even more defense and a bit more breathing room. Lament works best tho for end game activity due to the instant heal from sword hits and then the restoration x2 from the exotic helps when you disengage. I have a energy transfer cold steel zephyr sword and it personally fits my playstyle and is a great alternative for me when I want an exotic either in my kinetic or energy slot. I am in the process of farming for a energy transfer incandescent throne cleaver from season of defiance and can’t wait to see how well it will perform

This is a little overkill for solo dungeon. I'd recommend using a Solar build with Ember of Empyrean to extend the restoration instead. Against dungeon level enemies, that alone will make you effectively immortal.

How well would this build work with Black Talon? I’m a returning player that just had stronghold and black talon drop the last couple of days. Other than that, the best sword I have for this would be crown-splitter with relentless strikes. (No tireless blade yet)

Solo GM would be hectic asf but with the sheer amount of Damage resist you have with this build makes you extremely hard to kill. Even for casual players if they played this build i think itd be so much easier

Awesome build! If using Strand, the new Strand sword, Thin Precipice, is extremely fun. Craft with tireless blade and chain reaction, while having unraveling rounds with woven mail from the artifact perk, and you can absolutely demolish ads with the spinning heavy attack.
