Sick RD1 man! by the way does your tires rub at all with a stock suspension?
@stevemoua25802 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Nope. No rubbing at all. Which is also a plus. Can do full turns left and right.

@@stevemoua2580 Hey Steve, just out of curiosity how's your set up holding up so far? I already have my aluminum 25mm bolt on wheel spacers with a centric hub, BFG 215/75R15 mounted on oem wheels, this coming week my new rotors and brake pads are arriving as well I'm slapping in all of these upgrade in one go on the long weekend.
@stevemoua25802 жыл бұрын
@@outputdamikrip that's awesome to hear. So far it's been holding up real good. Just bit more road noise but nothing to complain about considering they're a/t tires. Driving has been smooth as well. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

At 2:20 . Where are you placing the jack . Using the pinch tabs doesn't raise it up enough. Thanks
@stevemoua258011 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's why I ended going this route when raising the car or using 2x4 with the floor jack on the pinch welds. But I'm jacking it up from the square flat spot where transmission cable is at on the bottom.

Nice ride. I am wondering about the struts..... have they been replaced or are they original with high mileage?

Thanks! I've changed it out to some aftermarket ones off of ebay. So far so good. No complaints. Has been some time since though.

@@stevemoua2580 I am getting ready to get me some new struts soon. I'd like to have the rear slightly more stiff , I plan on towing a small trailer.
@stevemoua25802 жыл бұрын
@@felixvalenzuela6052 there's a crv group on Facebook that could probably answer that. I don't use the crv to tow much unless it's light utility things. They could probably offer you better insight.

@@felixvalenzuela6052 Ive towed 88 crx, jet ski and small trailers with no issues. I do have the old man emu 2” lift and curt class 3 hitch.

I was just looking at this brand on Amazon, searched for some reviews and found your video.... How are they holding up? Any problems?
@stevemoua25802 жыл бұрын
That's exactly where I got it from and so far so good. No complaints and been over 1000 miles with them. I did torque them down to specs again after 50 miles of driving like it stated just to be on the safe side.

wondering where you got the in channel rain vent. I'm looking for some for a 97 CRV but all I've found is taped on the outside. thanks!

I have the same winter tires it has a lot of traction but feels heavy when driving my crv. Do u think it wastes a lot of gas compare to normal rim/tires ?
@stevemoua2580 Жыл бұрын
It depends if you utilize the a/t for what is worth. If it's mainly for street commuting, not worth it in my opinion.

@stevemoua2580 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't go any bigger than 20 mm honestly, only because you'll run into rubbing issues at stock height. Any more, you will have to raise your car.

It was just an extra car that sat outside and didn't want the spare tire getting stolen so I took it off. Luckily the only thing that did get taken was the spare tire cover.
