Do you know how does (a+b)² = a² + 2ab + b² came from? The birth place of this well-known equation is visually explained here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jZK3Zp96nrejgqs

Then 2⁴ = 16 = 4²

I thought it was x = 2 or 4 and y = 4 or 2. Because 4² = 2⁴ = 16 If x = y then any number is the answer. Because, x= m^( (1/m) - 1) = m^( (1 - 1)/m ) = m^( 0/m ) = m^0 = 1 Y= m^( (m/m) - 1 ) = m^( 1 - 1 ) [ _m/m = 1_ ] = m^0 = 1 Then *x = 1 = y or x = y* .

This is definitely the most complex way I've ever seen to write 2=2
