May check to be sure the pin on the spider injector isnt bent if not, make sure you are getting spark to that cylinder from the plugs. Make sure plug wires has a good solid connection. Could also check to be sure that injector on that cylinder is spraying good an not clogging up. Check for corrosion to the harness to the spider. Last but least compression Check on that cylinder or could do that first.. If everything checks out to be ok may have something going on with the computer. Hope this helps

@@raybanz6686 sounds like cats. If you got a temperature reading gun. You can let the vehicle warm up to operating temp. Take a reading before the cat and after. If the readings are different possible cats are clogged. If they reading the same may just be 02 sensors acting up. Another way you can drill a small hole in the cats an see if there is any restriction from the front of them to the back. So basically you would need to drill a hole in the exhaust in front of the cat check air flow. Then plug that hole an drill one to the rear exhaust behind the cat an check that air flow if the airflow is restricted. Then you have clogged cats. Couple ways to test it.

@@creationzthruair834 hoping it's something simple like a vac leak or intake leak or even a injector... if you do a compression test on all the cylinders an say #2 shows really low compared to the other 7 cylinders.. yes motor has to be pulled torn down an new ring's installed. Which will need to be rebuilt.. sometimes rebuilding one is cheaper than buying new.. if it's not ring issues a simple head gasket issue can cause a cylinder to misfire. It can create just enough air leak. To find our you'll need a compression test done. If it jumps let's say up to 210 psi let it sit for a little bit give it about 1hr come back see if the compression has changed if it has dropped a significant amount say down to 200 psi you have a leak somewhere in that cylinder either rings valve seals etc... you then can also perform a leak down test with a fog machine and what it will do is let you see of you have any Intake leaks it may also pick up head gasket leaks too if any.

Have you doubled checked to make sure the plug wires are in the correct location from the plugs to the cap? I know sometimes getting them in the wrong location will cause a misfire or stumble may also check to see if your getting spark to all 8 cylinders. Also the injectors possible they could have accidentally bent one of the prongs on the spider injector. If all is good check compression or check to see if one of the injectors isnt spraying.

@@amberericjones5694 we think alike. I have literally replaced everything all new sensors and injectors new timing chain distributor wires plugs o2 sensors everything you can think of minus the pcm. And I keep getting p0300 and p0102 and open circuit for right abs sensor. I’ve checked the wiring harness and can’t find anything super annoying literally spent so much money. Super weird when drive at highway speeds 65-70 it will start miss firing and after driving and I put it in park it will idle super low and try to shut off. Also when I put my turn signal and try to accelerate it hesitates and starts bucking super weird.

Lucky you, simple fix. I did the same injectors on my 98 Tahoe, i was driving one day and bam started to mis, bog, lose power, check engine light came on. Code p0300 and the MAF sensor code. Replaced the maf sensor, still misfire. So i had a shop do a diagnostic test, and he determined it was the fuel injection. I ended up doing it myself because i didn't have the $850 to pay😏. So i got everything installed, new injectors, fuel filter. Plugs cap and rotor look ok. Started it up, seemed like it ran good for like a minute or so till it started to misfire again like i never did anything to it. 😫 it has about 198K miles on it. I was looking online and seems like these distributors go out? Idk anyway, these the story of my life. Lol
@amberericjones56946 жыл бұрын
Jaime G. Yea, this truck did the same thing after I finished it up started with the b.s misfire again. Only code besides the abs sensor. Either distributor or the computer it's self because one minute it would throw a code and idle like crap next minute code would go off and idle perfectly. Owner didn't want to put no more money into the truck so he picked it up a while back.. I would replace the distributor and see if that don't solve the issue.
@amberericjones56946 жыл бұрын
Jaime G. If you do the distributor, make sure that you are tdc compression stroke. You can put your finger over the #1 plug hole and have a friend bump the key over. After removing the coil pack to keep It from starting. Or rotate by hand. Mark your where your rotor is facing which should be facing driver side #1 cylinder. Mark the position of the distributor. Pull it and the new distributor should drop in. Make sure you put engine assembly Lube on the splines of the bottom gear.
