I recently brought a second hand 2013 mitsubishi mirage and I love it! it's super zippy and is fun to drive :)

I still actually own my 2013 mirage, the good thing about it, very affordable to maintain and not much to change:) I would advise to bring it to the casa so as minimal worries and lately they are having lay away plans for up to 3 mos thru credit card payments 0 interest for maintenance and parts.. check it out;)

This is one of the few dignified reviews of this machine that I've seen here, in KZbin. My compliments to you for saying it like it is for the Mirage. Bravo! Peace...AladdinSaneNYC < ~ ☆

You still driving your Mirage? Mine is going strong at 48k miles.

Yep, I own one. He even understates the fuel consumption. I get 4.5 (1l on 22 km) on average in a busy part of cold Europe. But I am a hypermiler (also performance driving!). I drove 40.000 km up to now, and nothing broke at all. Check out the wheel alignment, though. That is often not good and it cannot always be adjusted. Especially on the rear that could be costly (new rear axle sometimes needed).

i just bought a 2013 manual one of these so my son can learn to drive in, paid $1500USD - drives perfectly fine for what it is & it has 240,000 miles on the clock/original engine etc Still heaps of life left in it I'm sure

It might have been good value in 2014 at a starting price of 500k. But now it start at 630k for the hatch and 666k for the sedan, and at that price point there are many better alternatives available. It makes sense as a used car though, since the market is flooded with units, where the owners failed to pay off their loans.

Question. A better car.;Better cars drive no different than a Mirage. They all get you where you need to go.So why dismiss a Mirage? I dismiss no car.Lnng as any car can get me to my destination and be reliable is fine with me.That includes the Mirage. Mirage owners swear by them and so do I because I own one.Cars all do the same thing. Get you to point A to point B.You want better thats you.

How do you think it compares with a base 5 speed Fiesta or 1.6 liter Kia Rio 6 speed?
@ablanuza767 жыл бұрын
djkenny they're not even in the same league. The Fiesta and Rio runs circles around the Mirage. The Mirage only has a 1.2L 3-cylinder, non-turbo engine. It's more fair to compare it with a Toyota Wigo or Suzuki Celerio.
@djkenny12027 жыл бұрын
See, here in the USA we simply don't have the those cars. Closest competitor is a Chevrolet Spark, which I would not trust, it has reliability issues (it is a Holden). Suzuki went Bankrupt, here. The Ford Fiesta has reliability issues, that would keep me away. The Mirage gets very good MPG and it is reliable.
@stevejohnson13216 жыл бұрын
Fiesta probably a shade more smooth IF you can get full-manual gearbox. The dual-clutch on most US Fiesta has service problems.
@kylemas20055 жыл бұрын
@@djkenny1202 I concur, I own a 2014 DE CVT. Its main competition is the Spark and the Canadian Nissan Micra and its blown away the Spark in US sales. Spark looks cooler and has bettet pickup, but cant match the Mirage in reliabilty or comfort.
@djkenny12025 жыл бұрын
Yep. The Spark has had issues. I’m not sure if the second Gen has been nearly as bad, though? I ended up getting a really low mileage 2015 Scion XB Manual. But for new, I was seriously considering the left over $9500 Mirage manuals. I think they’re great cars. Not many sell in the USA. More Sparks. The earlier EV model Spark is a different story when it comes to reliability. They are worlds better than gas models. That was a strong possibility on my list.

how is the car substandard??? I just bought a 2017 and cant fault it for anything..

What is your basis of comparison?
@kejah74898 жыл бұрын
Tractor and Mirage.
@ficklefingeroffate8 жыл бұрын
+kejah Lol. I was thinking this could be considered a good car if you compare against a Tata Nano.......or a goat cart......maybe.
@kejah74898 жыл бұрын
ficklefingeroffate To tell you honestly this is one of the car from my options before i bought Celerio. But when I drove Mirage.. Maaan too much body roll. I live in a hilly area where the road have too much zigzags, Mirage would have a hard time dealing with that. I drove celerio.. good driving and much space although its a bit uglier but its all abt function for me.

@Autotrope2 жыл бұрын
They don't really have small cars like this, to the point that it would stick out as being unusual if you saw one. They don't have the small cars by Honda, Mazda, Toyota, etc etc. I think the Mirage was at the time the only car under $20k. As for how they got to that point it's probably related to the US car industry and pride in their own cars, small cars are an Asian/European concept to them
