My favorite thing about this boss is that none of his hitboxes persist like base game bosses. As soon as theres an AOE explosion you can run back into it and take no damage. I like the juxtaposition of how calmly Midra fights once the frenzied flame takes him over. It's almost like he's relieved from the centuries of torture and dancing with joy. The way he spreads his arms while walking forward and shooting frenzied projectiles, the way he effortlessly spins midair, the way he doesn't even express any reaction to turning his intrument of torture into a weapon. The frenzied flame isn't anger or hatred, it's the apathy for all existence, it's the physical manifestation of sorrow so profound it leads people to want to burn it all down. The moment Midra releases the frenzied flame in him he also rids himself of the shackles of his unending pain, his values, his love for Nanaya, his promise to her, his kindness that lead to him warning the tarnished off at every opportunity, all of it. He throws it all away and then dances with glee, because he just couldn't care anymore.

I haven't played dlc much, But I +0'd this boss. It's a great one and relatively easy to learn. Also, you can crouch and his spin attack will miss above you. It's not the most optimal dps as I'm sure there's a way to hit during his spins after a good roll, but It's cool af.

I just want to say how badass it is that a nearly nakid man with a bear pelt on his head just kicked the falled Lord of Fire to death

Ng13. A team of three consisting of The Wall, Perfumer, and Doubled-hammer jump attacks. The first little guys health was 27k hp and then the real boss had like 170k hp. Most beautiful fight. Best bosses. Best game. Best DLC.

Do bosses in NG7 have higher poise values? Because I didn’t break Midra’s stance the entire fight and I was dual wielding bleed/frost royal knight resolve Great Stars and did all jump attacks. It was nuts

my man using fist especially when riposte so the boss didn't die quickly, amazing performance!
