most impressed by how you stay with way smaller riders on the climbs - putting out similar w/kgs. it inspired me as a 79kg rider that often gets dropped. enjoy the vids

Nice sprint at the end. Just wondering why you are sprinting with so low cadence, because from what I found, it should be more efficient to sprint at like around 120 rpm. But you clearly know what you’re doing, just wanted to hear your thought on it
@thevirtualdomestiqueКүн бұрын
@@nop4782 I went high gear this time since there was so much fatigue in the legs already over the last 100km. If I'm in a high gear I can really use my whole body to drive the levers into the pedals. Higher cadence is good if I'm fresh but in this occasion I think I would probably have struggled to find the same kick

Wow 😳 what a freaking impressive sprint! 💪🏻🚴💨 Do you think you’ll race in the Grand Tour event on TrainingPeaks Virtual from March 24-30? Would love to see you race in that and fight for some jerseys!
@thevirtualdomestiqueКүн бұрын
Thanks! Haha I didn't even know that was a thing, I haven't raced that platform since it was IndieVelo but I'll have a look!
@PedalToProgressКүн бұрын
@ yeah definitely check it out! More details will be coming out over the next days/weeks to get everyone ready for it 👍🏻

Damn, really nice. Question: do you think the zwift handlebar is worth it?
@thevirtualdomestiqueКүн бұрын
I think the ZwiftPlays are good if you have a compatible smart trainer which can give you virtual shifting. Steering can give you an advantage in races but It's not really at the point yet where i'd say it's worth getting in my opinion.
@tangarz5357Күн бұрын
Is your true ftp well into the 400s? Or is zwift over estimating your threshold zone because of your racing focus and anaerobic capacity? Either way those numbers are nuts
@thevirtualdomestiqueКүн бұрын
@@tangarz5357 peak form it's usually 450-460 that's last year anyway. Taken it easy the last month or two so we're in more of a build phase at the moment. 87kg though so keep that in mind 😁

@@thevirtualdomestique Damn that's nuts. Do you do TT's? The weight doesn't matter as much compared to aero and scheer watts.

I will never understand how such skinny bodies (no offense) can produce such power with ease. You push 500+ watts as if its nothing. Must feel great to be able to do that.
@thevirtualdomestiqueКүн бұрын
haha none taken, all the strength is in our legs, I don't do any strength training for my upper body other than core and stability work
@99cyaКүн бұрын
@ yeah but when you think about it, you dont have more muscles than many other fit people. Inside your muscles is the magic. They just work superior. Great density of mitochondria, great glycogen management. Lactate clearing. Etc. i mean damn, you can be proud of having that excellence. Great job!!

averagine 500 watts for a min 30 and only having 149 bpm ? wtf u on?????? thats nuclear
@thevirtualdomestiqueКүн бұрын
Haha I jumped in with 10 mins to go, didn't warm up so it takes a while for my heart rate to get near max. Later on in the race it's up in the 160s low 170s

@@thevirtualdomestique youre a beast man, ive only been cycling like 3 weeks and if i do 300 watts for 2 min im at 180 lmao

With power and heart rate numbers like this you cud ride for any of the best teams in the world 400 + watts at such a low heart rate..seem like you got a crazy pro level FTP..And seems like you got the flu...making it even more crazy...
