I so need a home makeover my house is falling down we don't have the money to fix it. My husband has been out of work for a long time he has two diabetic ulcers on both feet. I've seen alot of Ellen's videos about helping people. Great videos! They make me cry and laugh and makes me want to do things for other people. But what I REALLY want to see and CHALLENGE Ellen, to see Jennie go to a homeless shelter or a "neighborhood" in need and donate materials to rebuilt or make the place a better place. This might trigger a chain reaction, eventually those places will grow and make changes in people's life. I wish that Ellen could surprise my mother, brother, sister and I one day. We've been living on hand me downs for more than 10 years. We've never had anything brand new. From what I know about European households is that children are commonly sent to boarding schools and educated in an isolated environment. The lifestyle across the Atlantic ocean is entirely different. those stay at home moms might not have a job to support the family in terms of monetary means but their job at home is just as hard and equal. They are the ones raising the educated generation I am in. If it weren't for my stay at home mom I wouldn't be where I am today.

our lifestyles are different. the american dream in the 70s were to have a small home, white picket fence, a dog in the yard and a mom to take care of the tikes. this "dream" trickled down to the generation you see in this video. But, don't forget there are millions of women who are the complete opposite! we're the generation that have the post secondary education to compete with men in the business and medical world
