in a fiery Buffalo Flight 3407 (Colgan Air Flight 3407/Continental Express flight 3407) crash. She was flying to Buffalo to celebrate her husband's 58th birthday and award a scholarship in his memory at Canisius High School. What are the odds that both spouses die in the most unimaginably horrific ways 7.5 years apart? Absolutely the most tragic couple I've ever heard about.

I feel like most of the people who make jokes about 9/11 are the kids who were either too young or weren't alive for the event. Anyone who watched this unfold LIVE wouldn't be so insensitive. I was only in middle school but I remember the news coverage like it was yesterday. That shit was horrifying. Then growing up during the war, and having friends die serving over seas. I don't find those jokes funny. In fact those jokes aren't funny. If you feel so confident telling jokes like that over the internet, why don't you try telling them to a survivor, family members of the fallen, or family members of the victims. I highly doubt they'll find it funny either...

"Beverly Eckert (May 29, 1951 - February 12, 2009) was an activist and advocate for the creation of the 9/11 Commission. She was one of the members of the 9/11 Family Steering Committee for the 9/11 Commission. Eckert's husband, Sean Rooney, died at age 50 in the attacks of September 11, 2001. She pushed for a commission to investigate 9/11 and to establish a memorial. Eckert died at age 57 on February 12, 2009, in the crash of Colgan Air Flight 3407 in Clarence Center, New York. She had met with President Barack Obama just a few days before her death in her role as an advocate for those affected by 9/11."

I'm sorry for your loss. It must be unbearable pain for you. You have been blessed to met your soulmate at a very young age and love for 34 incredible years together along with a phone call to say goodbye. I am 48, single and I've accepted the fact that "who ever he is" probably won't come my way. I love your story even though is heartbreaking. I guess I've given up on love, but thanks for sharing yours. May God continue to heal your heart!

@@NubianP6 differing in opinions. Have to admit even tho it's allegedly "safer than driving" there's a LOT of convenient plane crashes. Always with people that powers want out the way, never a plane of average joes. Just saying. Some of the last great politicians went out that way. But yes, horrible regardless. Heartbreaking actually.

I can't imagine how heartbreaking it feels to lose someone, especially in such a tragedy like this. I don't believe in an afterlife, but on the off chance that there is one, I hope they're smiling and hugging each other forever now. I guess part of me still wants to believe in some kind of afterlife or something?

It’s the only comforting thing about religion really, that dying is just the end, that there is another side. Most of what religion represents isn’t comforting at the slightest, but I know what you mean when you say this.

yeah, ok. What you just said is belittling human life. Let's focus more on this group of people more of them died. What you are saying is ignoring the fact people died no matter what. You focused on the quantity of the people that died. Let the people in the middle East mourn their dead and let the US mourn their. It is disrespectful in many ways

I give a shit. With my whole heart and everything I am I give a shit. But today is a day to honour & remember the deaths that we know are significant to this day. Being sad about one thing doesn't make us any less sad about another, but to say we were crying about poverty whilst watching this video would be irrelevant. There are so many tragedies in our world and my heart breaks for every single one of them.
