മനോഹരമെന്നു തോന്നുന്ന ആശയങ്ങൾ പറയാൻ എന്തെളുപ്പം. ഒരു സംഘടന: അതിന് പ്രസിഡണ്ട്, സെക്രട്ടറി, തുടങ്ങിയ സ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ (പേരു വേണമെങ്കിൽ മാറ്റാം) എന്തിന്? പരിപാടികൾ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാവരും തോന്നുന്ന അഭിപ്രായങ്ങളും ബഹളവും നടത്തുക!! ഒന്നും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ട ആവശ്യമില്ല. അവസരോചിത ബഹളങ്ങൾ!!! എന്തു തരം മാറ്റം വേണം എന്നു മാത്രം പറയരുത്.... ഏതെങ്കിലും രാജ്യത്തെ ഒരു മോഡൽ ആയി പറയൂ. ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ/ പോലീസിന്റെ/ പട്ടാളത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നും ആവശ്യമില്ല. ജനങ്ങൾ ''നന്നായാൽ'' . പക്ഷെ ജനം '' നന്നാവുമോ''

Elluppam alla! Cynicism might appear smart, but provides no solutions. While Maithreyan here is generating ideas which are not too far fetched and based on constitutional values of democracy; nothing out of this world. While I disagree with some of his points (especially that a hierarchy-indoctrinated people operate in an egalitarian manner), his recommendation is spot on; that we need to revamp education to make upcoming generations of citizens aware about what their constitutional rights and duties are, and what as per the constitution is required to keep up with the times by amending rules attuned to 21st century values and sensibilities. Fundamental to this is understanding that there is only one identity required; that as of an Indian citizen as per the Constitution (which is a modern text based on modern democratic values); no more need for primitive and outdated religious or caste identities on top of that, which only serves to divide us and keep us from productive and constructive cooperation as a nation. Instead now, majoritarianism and minoritarianism is the norm, with manipulative political groups giving hate speeches and exploiting the citizens for these parties to get in power and loot the rest of us through manipulation and corruption. Now, in order to amend constitutional rules, we need to elect knowledgeable representatives (who have been educated in the same upgraded schools) to the legislative, i.e. people who are willing to use this understanding to devote to administrative service for the rest of us, who meanwhile, would be participating in other aspects and sectors of nation building, guided by constitutional values. It is hard work to bring reform, but it is an urgent necessity. It is easier to be cynical and give up saying this is "non-pragmatic", and we will be left behind in this age of AI, machine learning and gene editing while a few other nations will be ahead of the curve.

Its easy being cynical and supporting current systems with all their flaws; swallowing everything that is jammed down your throat without questioning the dominant paradigm. Upgrading the status quo progressively is hard work. Requires all of us to get out of comfort zones and bring meaningful debate and discourse and according what is consensual. That will be a first step towards effective change worthy of the 21st century.
