The question could also be, "If they have made such a positive impact, why do we only ever hear about the negative?" I mean, if they are that great an influence, then surely we should only hear positive stories, right? The need to go back over 100 years for a story and edit the facts to imply that he was "done wrong" seems a bit of a stretch. Why not some stories from the last twenty years, some uplifting stories about their positive contribution to, say, charity or helping others? If I were a cynic, I would suspect that these "stories" are not about promoting black people but rather degrading white people.

I emailed the BBC last year when it ran this story. I criticised their unbiased coverage of the incident and lack of the full facts in the case. I also highlighted the bias of the local black journalist who promoted and presented the story. Among many others, there is a channel called "The Nigerian Perspective," and on it, the host has frequently called out the problem with the construction of phoney black history, particularly when done by non-black people, and he is not alone. I bring this up because there are many black individuals who are speaking out against this bogus history and victimhood narrative, which is exploiting people who look like me to promote its own ends. People, particularly white people, need to understand that most of this nonsense isn't supported by the majority of rational black people; however, as with any lie, if it's told enough and promoted in an emotionally heartbreaking way, it will be adopted according to the Joseph Gobbells method. I am always sceptical about what I read or see on the internet regarding racial aspects of British history but I was watching the BBC news yesterday and there was a report of a new book for children released on ‘Empire’ by a British asian person. He repeated almost word for word a narrative of colonialism that has been debunked on numerous occasions, by Simon and others, over the past few years. For some reason he squeezed in a reference to the Windrush “scandal”, possibly referring to illegal immigrants not being deported? Historical redaction in terms of race and ethnicity is still a very live issue.

It is looking at how for instance Cleopatra is 'viewed' (subjectively) within a culture (islamic tradition) rather than focusing on who or what she was, objectively, with verifiable evidence. Most of the course is taught in this way, I could go on and on.

Has anyone had the same experience as me? I used to get Simon's videos recommended by the algorithm, based on what I usually watch. I haven't seen them in weeks, and I often put on YT videos while I'm pottering or doing a bit of work. I think he's been shadowbanned. I was reminded of him this morning, so I went looking for him, and see that he's been making videos this whole time. This is not the first time this has happened with a content creator I like, and it's always done with one who isn't 'regime friendly' but hasn't said anything stupid to get outright banned. Having just visited a lady friend up in Liverpool when I made some flippant joke about foreigners she got very upset telling me that we don't like it up here and that she didn't like it either. There was a Charles Wootton college of further education in his name in the 1970s but went ' insolvent ' in 1979, Liverpool 8 has been a big community for black people since the last century and so I would have thought in the 104 years since that happened the community, if they thought so much of him, would have been able to scrape together enough money to get a headstone for his grave !!

The Tulsa "race riot" (note the group of black men gathered fired upon the group of white men) on "black wall street" (actually just a small row of shops) has a lot in common with this story. If people actually took the time to do even the most basic reading on the subject they wouldn't be so quick to rush to judgement.

@@johncarroll772 a rumour went round that a black man had raped a white woman and that he was going to be lynched (actually no rape occurred and no lynching was in the works), a group of black men and a group of white men gathered, both irate about the supposed account. The black men opened fired on the white men, at which point the police got involved and the black men fled to their homes. The authorities ordered a house to house search of the black neighbourhood to capture those responsible, which led to significant tension, which then in turn led to riots. However the backdrop to this was that a local government member had been trying to win planning permission for a revised rail terminal exactly where the black neighbourhood and black owned shops were, and the former town police chief (a corrupt man) was only too happy to stir the pot (I'm writing this from memory so forgive me if I am being vague), at one point a local man with a small aircraft took to the skies and started dropping home made bombs from the cockpit onto the black neighbourhood, egged on by the corrupt politician and former police chief. The ensuing disturbance led to several deaths. However since then the story has been repeatedly exaggerated by race grifters, to the point where reports of a mass grave of victims has frequently been claimed to exist. However repeated searches for said mass grave have revealed that to be the actual local grave yard, with only two people recorded as having died and been buried there that day, and the claims that it was a "black wall street", turn out to actually be a short row of black owned shops. So the Tulsa Race Riots was actually black men shooting at white men because of a false rumour of a sexual assault, which has ironically then turned into a false rumour about the destruction of Black Wall Street.
