Oriignal or not, the Ettrick is a sight to behold! I need to get one or two or three. Wow! Both a wharnie and Pruner blade in one Ettrick. I love the brass bolsters! Thanks for sharing! Glad to see you picking up with your content volume!

Really enjoyed seeing this one Eric as it's of a pattern I have never seen before . What a really useful knife to have in your pocket . Thanks for showing it Slick .

I like the blade choices and the size of the handle.👍

That is absolutely gorgeous! While I prefer single bladed knives, I can certainly appreciate the look of a nice twin-blader. The late Mr. Ablett did a rather excellent job on this one, I'd say. Despite having had issues with the Ettricks in the past, I still adore the pattern as a whole. Cheers, as always!

It's not just you, Eric 😂. I hate that made in Sheffield stamp. Older knives I have, every blade is stamped. My only criticism of a Steven Cocker knife I have is that it's not stamped. If I could make a knife as well as these guys, you could guarantee I'd want to stamp it 😂 with pride. That is the exact knife/pattern I missed out on at an auction. It hurt me to watch this. I don't get buyers' remorse. I get the opposite 😅. It fascinates me the old books these guys have. Probably passed down from generation to generation. Of old patterns drawn to scale. Some are probably drawn by a quill in some cases. This was brilliant, Eric 👏

I agree about the generic oval 'Made in Sheffield' tang stamp. I have an A Wright ettrick stamped with this and it annoys me every time I open it! The later Twisted assisted knives by Wrights have the TA stamp which, although not to everyone's taste, is better than the oval one. A couple of Trevor Ablett knives came up a while ago on our local auction site (I live in New Zealand) and I didn't bid because they had the oval logo. I rather regret it now...
