I have 2 questions. 1. Can you have a split keyboard when the phone is folded? In other words, is there an option in the gboard settings to select your keyboard layout in the folded and unfolded mode? 2. Can you remove the Google search bar from you home screen?

Great questions. 1. It look like it will remember what keyboard you like to use on each screen. So on outside screen I use the normal keyboard, and when I unfold it opens to the split keyboard. Themes and other options stay the same. 2. There is no option to remote the Search Bar Widget. You would need to use a 3rd party launcher.

Do u recommend any 3rd party launchers that u can customize the phone better? That also wont give the phone any viruses?

I just like to use the stock launcher as I always had problems with other launchers. There are plenty of other videos out there for other options.

Does anyone know how to have the navigation keys so the back button is on the right and the previous apps button is on the left. It's hard for me to use as a right handed person using only my right hand

For my wife's 7 Pro I used an app called Navigation Bar for Android to do this. It has worked pretty well.

I want to use another mail app. Is there a way to delete the Google account that is tied to my phone from gmail without deleting the account tie to my phone? I will be adding the Google account to the oher mail app.

Yes, you can keep the account tied to your phone and then you can go into account settings and turn off the option to sync Gmail and disable the app. Then you can use your other email app without getting duplicate notifications.

@@ThomasMurphy So far I am loving the wider front screen because every app now formats correctly. Samsung is better at some of the folding software and things formatted better in many cases on the big screen. I will hopefully get a comparison made soon.

@@NyteStalker89 it all worked out, I took advantage of samsungs promo where they have me $1000 for my fold 3 with free upgrade to the 512gb fold 5! Couldn't be happier!

The first thing I didn't like about the phone. It did not copy over my dual applications. like Facebook ect...

Oh right. There is an option to add another user that you can switch between if you want 2nd accounts.

Can you setup the Pixel Fold without the Sim card, just using Wifi. I do not want to lose calls and my contacts while I am in the middle of setup a new phone. I like switching or activating the new phone Sim card as the last step in the setup process.

Yes you can, that is what I ended up doing. If you do get any texts while you are transferring those won't be added to the new phone but shouldn't be a problem.

Does the fold have an SD card? I don't want to stick the tool in the phone and mess up one of the speakers. Somebody please help

It does no have an SD card slot, it has a SIM slot which gives your phone your number. If you stick a pin in it will not hurt a speaker/mic even if it is the wrong one.

I really enjoyed this guide, Brett! I know the battery wasn't fully charged, but it was disheartening to watch how fast the battery discharged throughout your video. Perhaps it'll even out throughout your time using it.

I typically have the phone pretty high brightness while recording and make many cuts as to how long I'm using so it does go down quick. After months of use that is probably my main complaint though. I think if it had 15% better battery life I could make it through a full day.

Odd, I don't have the keyboard height setting.

The setting has been moved to the bar right about the keyboard. Click the 4 small box button, and then you should see a Resize option. This allows you to then drag the keyboard up or down to the preferred size.

Quick question. Did you put the new sim card in when your phone came? My fold is coming today and I'm not sure if I put my old sim from my S22ULTRA in or the new sim that comes with the phone.

I have another question. Can you select which apps to transfer from another phone before the transfer starts? I do not want to transfer any of the Samsung apps, Verizon apps because they will already be on the phone, and apps I do not use any more.

I forgot to try that but I believe you can by tapping on the Apps button when you have that option. If not, I just went into the Play Store while it was downloading them and I canceled any of the apps I didn't want.

Good phone for people who are wanting an even larger screen - But isn't about time Google removes it camera bar, therefore making the back of the phone a flat service which everyone is used to already.

I think the Pixel is now recognized because of it so it is probably here to stay. It also allows for a better camera to be packed into that little area.

Pretty good list however I would enable developer options and change .5X the animator, transition,and window within the drawing options.
