Jim...I miss theold vibe and feel from the channel man....sorry to say. That chill vibe with synthwave music and your wall of japan retro games behind you. I have been subscribed since 2016 more or less and my favorite window of content was 2017 to 2019. I still enjoy your vids but this new style or motif puts it into my dreaded watch later backlog. And we know what happens to backlogs.. . Favorite vids are walk to and gamehunt vids with retro commercials. My other favorite content is your local flavor where u shot at burger bars etc. Loved those. Thanks for all u do man.

I'll admit that I miss the name KidShoryuken, but that's pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. This channel and ImportGamingFTW (and SNES Drunk) have been my go-to channels for Japanese retro gaming for a long, LONG time now, and the videos I enjoy most are the best ofs, top tens, and videos that feel like a friend recommending me games. Weird or odd ball games can be interesting, but bad games interest me less than good games. Pick up videos at your home are also a lot of fun and make for good background noise. I guess what I'm looking for is a "My friend recommending me a game" type vibe.

Your editing and story telling has definitely improved by a lot. I wanna see -More collabs with more game related channels -You chiming in on trending topics occassionally (like the Hell Divers Drama, new game releases, etc.) -I really miss your old rambling videos over a beer and broll footage of Tokyo I do agree, this past year showed that a lot more people were more easily able to find you when you changed the name to Mad Panic Gaming so that was a smart move. The hardoff game buying vids get a bit dry after a while, glad to see you branch out into other more interesting types of videos. Really enjoy the "themed category" type vids like 16bit Super Hero's or Violent Games type ones, they offer a good introduction to a variety of games within that one category and the variety of games to talk about makes it interesting too.

It's not just that they're dry, it's that everyone and their mom is making those now, whereas in 2018 it was jim and a few others. I do agree with you though, the arcade videos, and the tours or different bars or shops are really cool and Jim somehow finds a way to keep finding them. Keep it up!

I first started watching for the game hunt videos. It was more your enthusiasm and knowledge about the games that made them fun to watch. Also the commercials. I've seen others try to copy your style on youtube and it doesn't translate. I would like to see a return of showing more video of where the places you go are. The walk ups were always interesting.

I'm mostly neutral on the rebranding. The logo style and graphics aren't really my thing. I do think Mad Panic Gaming comes across as a more unique brand than Kid Shoryuken, which is a big positive. Regardless, I still enjoy your videos, whether it's game pickups, gaming locations or focused on specific games. Looking forward to the second year of Mad Panic Gaming.

I'd like you to continue your experimental content. I like that you're doing a mix of content now. These are some video suggestions I have. 1. It might be interesting for you to compare retro game prices in your old videos, to retro game prices now. It'd be cool just to see you reflect on your game hunting experience over the years. 2. A video or video series where you pick up a game with a friend like TkyoSam, buy some beer/snacks at a conbini, and then go home and play it together. Kind of like James and Mike Monday's(now discontinued)where they would just shoot the shit with each other while playing games.

Well I actually like quite a lot of the different videos you do, I like the Hard Off ones, the reviews and top tens, and the arcade ones, so my opinion is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I will say though I've always liked the anime loops you put on some videos with the chill trip hop beats, that's a vibe, plus I used to love the night time skyline footage you used to put in. I know it's silly innit, but it gave your channel a feeling, an identity, I didn't find anywhere else. Yeah, still very new here, haven't checked out much of your older videos yet. Did watch the wrestling one, mainly because I'm a fan of Old School Wrestling, mostly because of my dad having taped a bunch of them off of TV, and playing old wrestling games on his NES, SNES, PS1 systems like that growing up. Can't remember which game it was, but since Sailor Moon was my fav animated series when I was a little girl, I even used the CAW to make a faction of Sailor Moon and The Sailor Soldiers. And considering even today, I still love Sailor Moon, when you mentioned that in your upcoming Anime episode, my ears perked up. 😉😂🤣 Yeah, looking forward to that.

I watched and enjoyed the top 10 / videos you talk about a lot of games, but sometimes I feel I would like them to be separate videos for each of the games. Some times it hits a balance like the nick games, I feel I wouldn't click most of those if they were solo videos. So I think what I mean is that those list videos could talk less about every game (cuz I still enjoyed seeing what you collected together that I've never heard of), and talk longer if a game have an specific video for itself or for it's franchise/sequels.

Jim, I like you a lot. I've followed you for many years now. I like the personality you show, I like your insights and your tour videos are really interesting Your rebrand though. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. It sucks. A lot. Kidshoryuken might not be particularly original and you may not feel that it represents where you are personally anymore but it at least felt very personable. It made you approachable and likeable. What you've got now is just... bland? Dull? The whole Municipal Waste logo rip and the zombie head logo felt tired the first time I saw it and it's completely lacking in anything remotely descriptive or personal. It feels generic which, frankly - you aren't. It's sad because honestly I've felt like clicking on your videos less just from the name and logo alone. I wish you'd have gone with a brand that just *clicked* that little bit more or just kept it how it was EDIT - to be clear, absolutely not against you evolving the channel, bringing in new talent and changing up your content. Some of it is pretty good. My point entirely is just that the new name and logo dont work

I’m not really a fan of the mad panic brand. I think it’s a bit forced and somewhat counterintuitive to how you’re pretty down to earth you are with what you do.
