Follow your Journey since chapter 1. So sorry to hear that it gets worse. Stay strong. Your notes and tone are still on point! Always realize that. Your phrasing is superb!!! Awesome new guitar and shirt 😊

Thank you so much. Increased meds and a steroid injection have helped a lot.

Hey David. I just wanted to say that I really appreciate your emotional honesty and openness you have in making these videos, it's really something the world could use more of. I believe this project you are embarking on by sharing these videos is an important one, and will serve as a valuable resource for people going through similiar things for years to come (as well as for their loved ones). Keeping rocking my friend ... you sound damn good to me!

Very kind Graham. I really do want to provide something. I don’t have a lot of money so this seemed like a good idea. I hope that by the time I get to chapter they will have found a cure and a series of videos will no longer have any value.

Thanks, Dillon. I think that meds, physical therapy and other treatments (and a diet) will help.

That will be in eight years. I hope I can. I’ll be 79 - old enough to be president.

Catching up on your videos since my 1st comment on your part 1. Like your mentions in this one I had the same random cramps including ones in my hands where one or 2 fingers would cramp up to where my fingers would distort and I'd have to pull them apart and straighten them with my other hand. But those went away after I got on the CL & my playing got better & when the meds started failing to halt the progression I decided I really needed to record myself for the first time for posterity in June of 22. By the end of 22 I stopped recording due to issues. Then after little playing, I got the urge to play & caught lightening in a bottle on 3/5/23. I've since developed numbness in both thumbs and index & middle fingers for which I 'm scheduled for neck surgery soon. Not carpal tunnel. Anyway I can't play hardly at all currently. But I have some videos of me playing that turned out beyond my dreams that I currently don't want to post for various reasons, but if there's a way to send you some google drive links or flash drive I will.

Thanks Bill, it’s really a roller coaster, isn’t it? You overcome one thing and then another one pops up. I’m currently doing pretty well - 31 pills a day and physical therapy twice a week. Almost all of my physical symptoms are good for now. But I still have this autonomic dysfunction where my brain can’t figure out what it’s supposed to do in response to certain things. Like cold. Most people when they get cold, their brain sends signals to pump a little more blood but not mine. My daughter, the Doctor, uses the precise medical term “you have an effed up brain”. Twenty something years of school to learn that. Don’t give up on playing, it’s really good for mind. I don’t know how to private message in KZbin but if use my full name @ just about any common email service I’ll probably get it. I got all the davidrabinow@‘s early on. I’ve heard a couple of people with the same name who figured it’s an unusual name and thought that they should be able to get it.

You will be able to keep playing. But for me I’ve had to change the way I play to avoid difficult passages. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Hang in there. The mental health part is the most important.

Keep it up David. It's great seeing a fellow musician that also has Parkinson's. I was diagnosed about four years ago (I'm a little older than you - in my late 70s). BTW, I also get the muscle cramps mostly in the morning. I no longer play the guitar (I played for about 60 years); however, now I'm teaching myself how to play the keyboard (I hear that music helps to slow down the progression of Parkinson's). I'm thinking about making a video about my Parkinson's, as you are aware we are all different with our symptoms and the path we take. Here's a little video where I'm trying to play a very simple tune on one of my guitars (the last time I played the guitar).. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKbRlHSBqMejmZo

Hey Tim. I’m sorry I didn’t get back to you. I don’t know I missed it. I just watched a couple of your videos. Really nice. Your version of Hallelujah is beautiful. Nice job. I don’t know if you watch my latest chapter but I’m doing so much better now. My tremors are gone, my gait is almost normal, I’m a little stronger, and the pain is gone. My balance is still pretty bad and I have a lot of autonomic dysfunction. B/P is up and down all over the place, I can’t tolerate the cold in a dramatic way, I’ve developed burning mouth syndrome but those are all minor and I am living with them happily.
