i think i might have gone in thinking it was fantasy too which ended up being a let down. it's like this book was set in a rain storm. it was like dark and soggy.

here for taking out the trash! I am so bad for buying sequels before reading the first book to find out if I even like it! Somehow I get terrified I'll NEED book two and not have it even though I NEVER continue on straight away... lmao

Sometimes it's sad to see books go and get unhauled, but nevertheless, I'm sure they will one day end up in a home with someone who'll enjoy them...either that or that person won't enjoy them as well and also unhaul them. They'll find a home eventually! :P

Your voice is so sensual as you're trashing these books and I feel so conflicted but love it? Your warning on Vicious is much appreciated cause I'd hate to finally get round to it and my expectations be completely wrong on an emotive level. I think with how much booktubers talk about the characters hearing that perspective is crucial for a more well-rounded view as what people do and the emotional attachment they induce from readers or in the story aren't necessarily synced so thank you for that! I think feminity shouldn't always align to gender norms but it's a lot like these writers are creating these kinds of characters for wish fulfilment rather than realism or atleast a proper explanation? It's something that's can defo be irking to read through ESP from a protag. Dance of Thieves is GORGEOUS but I have no idea what it's about lol. I don't unhaul personally but this was fun to watch!!

I just went through the books I had left at my parents house when I moved away for college and got rid of somewhere between 1/2 or 2/3 but some of the stuff I was just like why did I even buy this. One of the books I got rid of was The Cursed Child, that weird play turned novel that was honestly just a money grab and so fucking bad. It was so overhyped and 100% not worth the money. So bummed you didn't like the And I Darken series. Although I do get that Lada can be really difficult to empathize with.
