Does an enchantment go away once the caster dies? Pretty sure Dr. Strange disagreed on that note. But please don't talk about uncertain events (that were loosely referenced at best) as if they are the accurate lore of the MCU. And no, nothing in the MCU indicates who is more powerful (Hela or Odin), just that one locked the other one away, which doesn't really say much.

And anything is a reference to everything so this movie that movie.
@xacmashe38525 жыл бұрын
@@armedweiss5531 The soul stone's power was never really explained though. I don't read the comics, and I've seen Infinity War and Endgame multiple times. All that is explicitly stated about the soul stone is that it takes a sacrifice to obtain, and after getting it you or your mind is transported to some other world, most likely the inside of the stone. But that's it. No one ever does anything with it. So yeah, it would've been nice to get some explanation on it. If you explained exactly why the soul stone has a “certain wisdom” and why it demands a sacrifice and why it teleported Thanos to the pool of water, it would reduce the mystical feeling of the sequence. 21:30 Thanos has been monitoring Earth because of Loki's defeat there in Avengers 1. That's why he knows that the Time and Mind Stones are on Earth, and that the Space Stone is on Asgard. As for how the Black Order/Children of Thanos know that Vision is in Wakanda, it seems reasonable that they tracked him from their ship in orbit. The Infinity Stones give off an energy signature that is trackable with human technology, as we learned in Avengers 1. If humans can track/locate an Infinity Stone, then Thanos's servants definitely can.
@archiebeach91535 жыл бұрын
Just a thing Thanos didn’t actually see Stormbreaker, that’s been confirmed by the Russos. He just put enough power into the beam to defeat Thor as he’d previously seen the god, which would be ineffective based on the crazy power up. Plus, Uru is designed to absorb magical attacks, so Stormbreaker is pretty much a counter-Infinity Gauntlet. Not to mention the Gauntlet is made out of Uru too, which is why Thanos could control the Stones so well. Finally, when Thanos realised there was a weapon there, the Stones were already in use. All of them. Including the Reality Gem. You can use multiple Stones at once, but it’s been shown that each Stone can only do one thing at once. Him moving to the side or backwards isn’t something that’s as easy as it seems, cause you tend to panic a bit when something is coming at you like that and you’re not able to stop it. If he stopped using the Stones to change function, chances are Stormbreaker would embed itself in Thanos before he got the chance to bubble it up based on its ridiculous speed. For all we know, because of Uru’s magic absorbing/amplifying properties, the bubble effect might not even have worked on Stormbreaker. Just something to put out there

Given the information he had I think blasting the beam was probably Thanos's best option. He had all six stones and seemed to be using all of them to blast the hamaxe. If that thing were any other weapon it would have been destroyed not only to the point of ash but also so that no one had ever thought of making it and his enemy would have been permanently disarmed. He had no information on what the weapon was other than "it's coming at me" and destroying a powerful weapon your enemy owns is usually better than dodging one attack. That's probably why the rebels tried to attack the Death Star instead of trying to add rockets to the moon so they could dodge the beam.

Small correction, Thanos not moving to the side when Stormbreaker is thrown at him is not Thanos being stupid, it's Thanos being arrogant, which is consistent with his characterization in the comics. He's attacked so quickly that he doesn't really have time to think of another course of action other than to attempt to destroy the weapon he's being attacked with, and he has all of the Infinity Stones at that point which makes him think he has enough power to stop anything thrown at him. So he doesn't expect to be unable to break his attacker's weapon, which is why he doesn't attempt to dodge it.

Time: Strange was using that thing in his own movie and time being messed with might be something that Thanos would want to find out about and cause he already knows that some stones are on earth he probably has some guy there to look for them (you know just in case theres a good opportunity for stealing one). And Proxima Midnight would definitely be able to track the mindstone because of the gamma rays that all the stones produce. So really the timestone is the only one where the explanation how thanos knew where it was isnt just "How would he not?"

For Sin 84 you can clearly see the mountain in the background is the same one as they were on. So in essence Yes it is still Vormir and how did he get there? He was teleported off the mountain into one of these puddles you can clearly see.

One recurring thing with Thanos in this movie is that he's either not trying in his battles or underestimating his opponents, probably both. This is probably why he only shot a beam at Stormbreaker, Thanos was too arrogant and thought that was all he needed to do, it probably didn't even occur to him that it could've been one of Eitri's weapons.

15:56 The stones where created by four god like things called “the cosmic entities” known as death, entropy, infinity, and eternity

Buuuuut we don't know that in the MCU therefore it is redundant.

But we also don’t know it’s not true so we should consider it an option until proven right or wrong

I also just realized something, the first time we are introduced to the 6 infinity stones in guardians of the galaxy 1 the collector shows a picture of a temple with a visual reference to the cosmic entities, so... ha! I think that helped my point

With regards to Sin 80, there actually is some evidence from the MCU that the stones were indeed crafted by some entity- four of them, actually. In GOTG 1, when Quill is retrieving the Power Stone from Morag, the temple housing it has these carvings of the cosmic entities Death, Eternity, Infinity, and Entropy as they are apparently creating the stones. Then later in the same film when the Collector is explaining the background of the stones, just after he mentions them being forged, one of the floaty info bubbles shows that same carving, further implying that the cosmic entities crafted them.

21:18 this sin is explained in both endgame and the original avengers film. The stones give off trace amounts of gamma radiation. And as such they called in Bruce banner to track the tesseract, AND do the second snap. This is also the reason why Tony stark *spoiler dies* in end game. The gamma radiation of six combined infinity stones along with all the other cosmic power killed him. True this is a small detail only some would pick up on but yeah.

It could be argued that Thanos, just like Bruce in The Avengers, has enough knowledge of certain stones that he's capable of tracking their specific gamma radiation. Plus, since no one we know of has faced the soul stone, he wouldn't be able to track it

Jorge Medina I think Thanos had intel on the stones after all thanks to Avengers 1 he should’ve known there were at least 2 stones on Earth while the others well it’s pretty easy to guess how he knows also for they going to Wakanda it is possible that one of the children of Thanos had been tracking Cap and the others while the others were regrouping

He also had the Mind Stone for a seemingly extensive period of time before giving it to Loki to use.

21:55 The way they know where the mind stone is, is because the stones are drawn to each other so they had a vague area and it’s safe to assume that the high tech android would be in the high tech city with lots of superheroes defending it.

15:46 The MCU does actually imply that the infinity stones were created by the cosmic abstracts (death, entropy, infinity, and eternity). the temple of the power stone has murals showing the infinity stones being created by them and the collector specifically says that "the remnants of these systems were _forged_ into concentrated ingots".

I have to point something out with Sin 85.... We just had like 5 Sins about how the Soul Stone was special and mysterious because the soul isn't as quantifiable of an object as space, time, power, etc. So it makes a lot of sense that if there was anything he couldn't track the energy of, it'd be the weird unquantifiable Soul Stone that seems to just work on its own rules and logic. It's not directly stated in the movie HOW Thanos can track any of the stones, but with how many powers he has at this point, it makes 100% sense that he'd be able to track some but not the one that works completely differently than the others.

I have to mention this about the atmospheres of planets. No matter how many planets are shown with human-friendly air in a work of fiction, common sense dictates there are much more NOT shown that are without it. The chance of only seeing the good air-ed planets is just story convenience, but that doesn't mean there aren't others out there. Also, Gamora specifically was shown in the Guardians line up scene to have many implants for her skeleton, regeneration, optics, and RESPIRATORY system, therefore implying that aliens can have ways to circumvent space dangers like vacuums and bad atmospheres for at least a limited time.
