Well I think the actuality is not discussed by the commenters in this string quite well. Helen, the performer in this song is a doyen of Indian cinema. She is perhaps one lady who had all the skills of being a lead artist, and never actually rose to that. She fell into her supporting, character roles, and guest appearances that span over 700-odd films. Born of Anglo-Indian and Burmese heritage, she retired in the 80s but still showed up. She was a cabaret exponent, and has many sensuous dances throughout those movies. The stylization of the cabaret by non-lead actresses represent Indian ethos, and sexuality-expressions through the period. Now, it has become more mainstream for the lead-actresses to perform these, so-called item-numbers. Regardless, Helen is a legend. And this song is sung by a legend. As of the time of this comment, both the exponent and the playback artist are alive. And, I appreciate your reaction. But it would perhaps serve a little to your western audiences if you could delve deeper into the substance, than the superficial review. This, after all, is the work of legends.

You can see her body parts aren't exposed. Body coloured clothes coverd { 70s this song was shocking} even in 90's as a kid we were uncomfortable in front of TV along with parents!
