My heat was cold...tapped on the actuator and now my heat works fine. Heat Actuator is located behind the glove box just to the left.

Many thanks for this video. At around 0:40 you mentioned that you fixed the problem by tapping the actuator. I lightly did this with the back of my screwdriver and it began to work again. Saved me a trip to the auto repair shop.

Dude! I live in Lincoln, NE. I work in Omaha, NE and therefore commute 1hour in the AM and another hour in the PM. I have been freezing for the last 2 days there & back, but I now have HEAT!!! I can’t thank you enough! Your video was awesome, and I had the exact same experience. One tap, and the actuator started working. (It probably stuck three days ago when it was actually HOT here, and my A/C was on full blast. The last two days have been unseasonably cold). But it’s no longer cold inside!!!! Stay awesome, and count me as a life long subscriber.

Awesome and concise video my man... really appreciated that you showed which direction the hot and cold air faced on the actuator too... because until I get my actuator fixed, I can manually switch it to heat as a short term solution! Thank you so much!

Thank You C Mac. You saved me a lot of money by showing us how to do this. The car was blowing hot air out of one side, and cool air out of the other side. That actuator door wasn't switching over. Thanks again Coach! Much appreciated.

Thank you! I have a 2003 and a mechanic told me you have to take whole dash apart and it would take 6-7 hours! Said he didn't have time. I'm 68 and I put the AC blower motor in with my son's help on the tight screws and it quit, too, so I need to replace both. Thanks. I can do that.

It's a very good video. We've had a lot of rain and my windows were all steamed up. I slid the temp control to hot. This afternoon when it was 90° I slid it back to cold and still had hot air. I didn't want to tear into it tonight, so I grabbed the knob on the temp control and pulled outwards and pushed down and slid it back to cool. I now have cold air. The slide didn't feel right It felt like it was loose, so that's why I tried that. It's a 2004 Buick.

Great video , I got a question blower fan related, if I hit a decent bump my fan will start to shut off or power down, if I hit a big bump hard it will shut off till I hit a bump again then it most of the time kicks back on. Any idea ?
@cedmac336623 күн бұрын
Yes... sounds like a connection issue, check your blower connection or your Blower motor/fan may need to be replaced or the blower motor resistor (which controls the fan speeds hi low etc) may need replaced also.
